We really have to get a place where we can limit caseloads , protect staff from overwhelming workloads before it’s too late. This DN I know is not alone but has has been brave enough to put herself first - truly sad 😔
Today is my last day as a District Nurse. I am heartbroken, i am exhausted, it was the hardest decision to make, but the right one for me and my family right now. Community nurses are unsung Heroes. Who will speak up for us?

@MargaretPitt4 @alisonleary1 @ICUnurses @CrystalOldman @stephlawrence5 We are getting closer to agree outcomes as a contracting measure instead of bean counting, there is so little National evidence for community nursing outcome measures tho.

@AdamShortDCHS Thanks Adam, that was our optimum solution but unfortunately is unable to progressed currently without investment which isn’t forthcoming. Embedded some of the self care principles in core service but also trying to manage the current demand safely
