Today marks 140 years since the death of Mary Seacole one of the pioneers of modern nursing. During her life Mary overcame adversity and barriers to provide compassionate care.

NMCs role is not to increase numbers or make it easier for Universities to run courses (so try not to be proud of that) - their role is to protect the public. The proposals will lead to unwarranted variation and practitioners who don’t have expertise in their field of practice.
