@CBSScottWhite Casas & Grissom for 1yr of Cease seems like a massive overpay ... Something more along the lines of Abreu, Yoshida & Crawford? ....maybe Sox eat some money of Yoshi's deal. SD adds 3 MLB upgrades without adding much (if any payroll)

@MattCouture5 If so, why delay the inevitable. If Breg to 3b makes the team better in '26/27, then it also makes the team better in '25. Package Abreu & Yoshi for whatever, move Devers to DH. This should be obvious.

@FLICKor @CBSScottWhite They don't need any more free agents. Bregman was always their target and they waited him out and got the deal they wanted. The money is irrelevant, especially if a chunk is deferred.

@FLICKor @CBSScottWhite Too little too late for what?? Offensively, sure Bregman > Grissom, but much of Breg's value is based on his defense, and id rather have him play the position he just won a GG for, replacing the incumbent, who's one of the worst defensive 3B in MLB
