That’s a wrap, 2023! Earlier this year I launched the Complete Tech Heads podcast.
Honestly, I was pretty nervous about it all at first, but so far we’ve had over 100,000 views/listens, 6,500 YouTube watch hours, 2,000 subscribers, and an insane amount of love and engagement
@NellFrizzell
For all its flaws, being with just one person for the long haul is, very simply, the best thing ever. If you’ve convinced another human to invest their whole life in you, you’re more insanely lucky than you’ll ever realise
Kane needs to realise that City either meet Tottenham’s valuation or there’s no deal - and getting his brother to phone the telegraph and moan about Levy isn’t going to change the situation
Harry Kane throws down gauntlet to Daniel Levy.
Sources say striker is frustrated with Levy who has reneged on promises, turned fans against him over holiday row and is no longer accepting Man City's calls after their £125m bid.

Don’t buy the whole Harry Kane ‘deserves’ a discount transfer because he ‘deserves’ trophies. Nonsense. He’s been incredible for us, but he’s not doing it for charity. He’s been compensated with many millions of pounds. And as soon as we’ve dipped, he’s agitated to leave
@RBairner
Antonio Conte is good, but I think engineering a global pandemic in order to save an embarrassing exit from the Europa Conference League may be beyond even him
This is extremely dumb if true. North Sea oil cannot make a significant impact on global emissions, but it can make a significant impact on the UK economy.
I'm very optimistic on renewables, batteries, and nuclear, which will eventually grow through market forces alone, without
Now, Spurs being Spurs, there are going to be lots of supporters of other clubs outraged at refereeing decisions that went our way today. You can try to refute them all, or, like me, you can just sit back and enjoy their spewing hatred like a delicious Mendoza malbec
In situations like this I just wish we had the England captain playing for us so we could get biased refereeing decisions in our favour all the time. I hear that’s a thing
Spurs have two of Europe’s best attacking talents starting every game and we’re worrying about how we’ll score more than one goal against Sheffield Utd. Difficult to believe they’re not being mismanaged tbh

@ACLU
And who can forget JFK’s immortal words: ‘Ask not what your [geographic location] can do for you, ask what you can do for your [geographic location]’
Really, really shows what an impact a proper fitness training regime can have under a coach who takes it seriously. We were fat under Mourinho and constantly threw it away in the last 10 mins. Now we're scoring two in stoppage time to win it
Anyone who thinks a 'gentlemen's agreement' is worth more than an actual contract to a man like Daniel Levy doesn't deserve a move to anywhere other than an asylum

This is actually proof that community notes works. The post got community noted, Elon saw it was erroneous, then removed it. Good system. Best and most democratic real-time social media monitoring by far
The entire internet piling in to make fun of Martin Keown is like a lovely little tiramisu to top off yesterday’s steak dinner. It’s not the main event, obviously, but it’s really helping me leave the restaurant on a high
We can't get deals done because Spurs don't have the clout we did a few years ago. And the reason we had any clout back then? Because Poch overperformed on a shoestring for years. He knew it, we knew it. It was a once in a generation window to seize the initiative that we ignored
Spurs sacking Mourinho - and thereby becoming his only trophyless team - in the same season Poch wins the CL was written in the stars. I can see that so clearly now. It’s Tottenham destiny

Just can’t understand this mentality that says we’re not allowed to reminisce about peak Poch in the wake of Dele going because ‘he didn’t win anything’. HE WON OUR HEARTS. IS THAT NOT ENOUGH??

should take £120m for Kane and let him join

Making a Tesla Q and turning it into the world's best-selling car would be the ultimate troll. Unequivocal. We could wrap up the internet after that. It'd be done.
@pokeefe1
YES. What would be *really* mad is selling one of our all-time greatest players to a premier league rival for less than he's worth for no reason
Eriksen has lost it. He might rediscover it somewhere else, but frankly I don’t care. There’s zero reason for him to even be training with the first team, never mind actually playing
Yes, it’s a real shame Frank Lampard isn’t getting relegated. But it changes nothing. Really doesn’t matter if they turn up against arsenal. We just have to win. It’s Norwich. If we don’t win, we deserve nothing
Talks between Mauricio Pochettino and Chelsea will continue this week to enter into crucial stages 🔵
#CFC
He’s the favourite to get the job since Thursday, Luis Enrique & Nagelsmann are out.
This week, key to make final decision.
Kompany appreciated — but Pochettino is ahead.
Let’s not kid ourselves that this is a good deal for Spurs. Arguably the best striker in the world leaving your club is pretty much a bad deal by definition. Irreplaceable
🚨 NEW: Harry Kane is set for a £160m transfer to Man City after Daniel Levy agreed to let the striker leave. Kane is understood to have shaken hands on a £400,000-a-week deal with Man City. [The Sun]
@DaveShapi
My feeling is the business & VC people have taken over now. Pressure is on marketing and profitability. This is probably what the pure-play AI people like Ilya saw coming.
@Femi_Sorry
I admire your patience, Femi. This is like watching a university lecturer try to explain quantum physics to a goat. You tried your best, but she's just never going to get the logic
@JohnnaCrider1
Some folks just hate extreme success, regardless of who achieves it. I agree with you. Someone on Earth *must* be the richest/most successful… and we should all thank our stars it’s
@elonmusk
and not some sociopath
It’s not like they can’t afford it. The only reason he wants to go there in the first place is that they’re backed by a plutocratic petrostate with endless amounts of money. Squeeze them dry imo
@ZubyMusic
“The line between good and evil runs not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either — but right through every human heart” - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
After that, it almost doesn’t matter if they get 4th. With Conte, we’ll definitely be better than them next season, they don’t have a chance in the CL anyway, and any bragging rights will be massively diluted by this spanking
@HKane
We're only so hurt because we love you so much, Harry. You'll always be a Spurs legend, whatever happens. But we might just get a bit aggy in the meantime if you do go
Anyone seen any good Antonio Conte content today? That’s basically the only thing I care about now. It’s like drugs, only with better discipline and health food
@OwenJones84
When are you going to stop blaming everyone else and look in the mirror? Corbyn’s poisonous ideology - which you subscribe to - has caused this. Own it.
This just isn’t good enough any more, is it? Him, Tuchel & Pep all need to start explaining exactly why they’re happy to be on the payroll, and what kind of atrocity would have to be committed to get them to change their mind
Eddie Howe refuses to answer a question on how he feels about the 81 executions in Saudi Arabia yesterday and the Saudi flags in the away end. Says he's still disappointed by the defeat and wants to stick to football.
@Zwxsh
20 career titles, former world no1 and a US Open W, beating Novak in the final. He’s not GOAT-level, but Medvedev is an extremely accomplished, successful player. Don’t think anyone needs to feel sorry for him
@jamesrbuk
China has already worked out the tech, and we’re all just buying it from them. We won’t ever compete with them on manufacturing because they have too many smart people happy to be paid half of our minimum wage. And they don’t care about IP so you can’t sell that either.
@DaveShapi
I think the problem they have is more that the magic of LLMs seems to be easily repeatable. When Apple, Google, X, Meta all have performant LLMs of their own, the pressure to build a super duper mega LLM is very high… and performance seems to be plateauing now all available
Honestly think the moment they they bottled playing us was a huge mental win for Spurs. No great winners *ever* run scared. From that moment on, they were frightened of us and we knew it
@codyaims
@elonmusk
It's so obvious that the 'Elon is just a rich backer' takes are driven only by envy. It's incredibly easy to find a million videos of him talking in-depth on engineering. He's in his element - seems to enjoy it much more than any of the business stuff
@pokeefe1
@trevor8sinclair
Exactly. The whole point of a contract agreement is that both sides agree to the terms. Nobody would expect the club to renege on its side by randomly stopping his wages on a whim. Why do people think it's ok for the player to renege on his side just because he feels like it
Has a statement like this ever been released for any of the other millions upon millions of terrible decisions that have happened since forever? Should we all expect official statements for every duff decision from now on?
"PGMOL acknowledge a significant human error occurred during the first half of Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool."
