Today is the anniversary of our 1st show in 1986. We never imagined we'd still be playing together 35yrs later. Thank you for being part of our story, for the continued support & kind words over the years. We are humbled to be here, still playing music, 35 years later.

Dulcinea was an important album for Toad, especially coming off of fear. The band wanted a record they could reproduce live with less overdubs, less layers, less dressing up, and just a deeper representation of who they are as a band.

Glen has said that Dulcinea may be his favorite album because it came at a perfect time when the band knew what they were doing, but didn't overthink things.

Touring is a completely different experience than it was 30 years ago. We’re smarter now. We try to stay healthier on the road and generally avoid the mistakes we used to make as a young band. I also think we all enjoy it more than we did as kids, especially with the amount of
36 Years ago this week we played (and lost) their first ever show - a talent show in Santa Barbara. Quick thinking came up with the joke name 'Toad the Wet Sprocket' from a Monty Python skit with the intent to change it later... And here we are 👋

All I Want almost didn’t happen … except that it did. It was a demo that Glen had made of a verse and a chorus of that song. The song was a struggle to get recorded, because it had all of these layered vocals, and it also had a 12-string acoustic guitar, which was the main

I’m at the point in the pandemic where (I assume this happens to everyone) I’ve had Good Intentions by Toad the Wet Sprocket in my head for 48 hours and counting.

Hi, I hope you’re all enjoying Toad on tour. I’m so glad they’ve been able to get out on the road again — and I’m digging their new record. As much as I miss the guys and playing in such a great band, I’m enjoying my life in San Diego and am really loving teaching drums.
Something old, something new.
The painted Strat on the right was played on countless Toad recordings and tours in the 80’s and 90’s - and it's coming out for the first time in over 20 years. The blue sparkle guitar on the left is a new Nichols build that will be making its debut

Reincarnation Song from the album Dulcinea (Alternate Take)
“When we recorded Reincarnation Song for Dulcinea, we waited until late in the evening, had some drinks and played it completely live with all 4 of us in the same room. We Lit hundreds of those prayer candles, played it
Toad played their first ever show this week in 1986 - a talent show (they lost 🙁), but the band continued on and now they might be coming to a city near you.
