📌 Final version of my review paper on the definition of #SexualSelection is out in @BehavEcol. I discuss potential limitations of a recently advocated definition and propose an alternative one. 1/4

Does vegetation structure shape animal vocalisations? A meta-analysis testing for phenotypic and evolutionary responses suggests that the acoustic adaptation hypothesis is not universally valid across birds, amphibians, and mammals. Kudos to @brbbfreitas for the terrific work!
📌Just published: "Meta-analysis of the acoustic adaptation hypothesis reveals no support for the effect of vegetation structure on acoustic signalling across terrestrial vertebrates" More details 👇

Fantastic to see this study come to life. Congrats, Lennart!
📰Did you ever wonder why females and males are of different size in many species? We tested if sexual selection could drive the evolution of sexual size dimorphism (SSD) synthesizing the results of 77 comparative studies. #OpenAccess in @Ecology_Letters
