From my point of view, human consciousness is a special case of something far more generic in nature.
I find it extremely interesting how many people there are who seem to believe that consciousness is somehow special to humans or requires something "non physical". I think is a quasi-religious belief that will soon evaporate.

Has anyone gotten further than Whitehead in “Concept of Nature” (1920) on these questions? Seems like folks are still spinning wheels b/c of the bifurcation of nature. Goff isn’t wrong but Whitehead’s way still allows us to say nature is closed to mind.
