Thanks to Tesla, we use alternating current (AC). After a long and ongoing battle between AC (Tesla's invention) and Direct Current DC, (Edison’s proposal) in which Edison electrocuted an Elephant, among other things, to ‘prove’ the superiority of DC, Tesla’s AC triumphed.

Yup, I can confirm.
Engineer and MD family here, and we are starting to weigh up our options.
We came a decade ago; in the first few years, we didn't want to commit as MD work was temp, thought property was overpriced etc.
Now we starting to think we made a huge mistake.
