Not ashamed to say I’m on Day 2. Progress not perfection. I’ve seen what sobriety can offer me over the last 29 months in recovery and I won’t allow a moment of irrational thinking to destroy the progress and joy I’ve felt in recent years Thanks for the kind words (most people)

I was recently asked how many days sober I was by somebody who had a lot longer under their belt. It was to weaponise my length of abstinence against me into backing down and agreeing with them. Don’t ever feel like you have to justify your sobriety to anybody. You own it

Let me be clear, your recovery doesn’t stop or restart if you relapse. I picked back up in May 2022 briefly but by God, I didn’t forget or dismiss the 458 days of sobriety that came before it. My journey started in February 2021 when my mindset finally changed towards alcohol

One of the biggest debates in the Sober World is AF beers / drinks. I’m in recovery from alcohol dependency but I have introduced 0.0% beer into my life. I enjoy the taste and last night for example, I had one bottle whilst watching the football. There is no ‘one way’ to follow
