I remembered this clip from Sonic X, and it feels like Eggman is talking to us as well as Chris and telling us what we already know. You really sympathize with Chris here. It's also another example of Eggman's human side being shown as well. Even though he's making fun of him,
Humans have always enriched the narratives of Sonic stories especially with how they highlight how Sonic is such a perfect role model for humans to follow especially when it comes to society + freedom and ignoring the trivial shit that tries to hold you back it’s so so good.

Sonic has been written poorly and out of character for so long that him doing something that's actually IN CHARACTER for once feels wrong to some fans, lol. Sorry, but Sonic replacing Amy's picture with him and Tails is honestly classic and accurate. Romance is not the main.

@mylovedes2 I bought this on a whim a week or two ago. and I don't know WHAT they put in it, but it's the best I've tried since Primal Pit Paste (Pretty Frank). I don't know if the formulas are the same or what. Even after exercising, the scent is still there.

People always wanna say that we're outgrowing the franchise or whatever, but whenever I go back and play pre-2010 Sonic titles, I feel such JOY. And it's like no, the franchise has just severely regressed, lol. It has nothing to do with me.
Something needs to be said about how overly juvenile Sonic media over the past decade has been. Despite being seen as a "safer", more "kiddie" franchise, no recent Mario media has ever made me ask "Am I getting too old for this?" unlike every other thing Sonic comes out with now.

Sonic's creators did not spend all their time writing these bios for the characters, doing interviews, and fleshing out who Sonic is and what his ideals are just for some middle schoolers, brand defenders, and pandering Sega employees to say "There is no definitive/true Sonic.".

The writing and characterization here is nearly flawless. This is Sonic. I have no idea what goes wrong with Modern. This is why I didn't have an issue with Flynn working on the games because, like. he's OBVIOUSLY capable of replicating the result we want. I really think.

Yep, a lot of times, people make Sonic the incompetent one and Shadow the "older brother" who has to bail him out. Or make Shadow this overly angry hothead who wants to kill Sonic. The clashing is there to a SLIGHT extent because of the differences between their personalities,.
I feel like people misunderstand Sonic and Shadow’s relationship. Shadow does indeed have respect for Sonic and if Sonic’s life was in danger Shadow would step in, but Shadow also has an ego and has a strict no BS policy that will put him at odds sometimes with Sonic.

I really believe that part of what's wrong with Sonic now is that there's no "Yuji Naka" around to keep shiz from getting past the radar. People give Naka all kinds of grief, but unlike some at Sega today, he respected Sonic, held fierce to that vision, and wanted to make.
Remember when Yuji Naka learned for the very first time live on stage that they changed the Marie Granette story for that SoA Kintobor slop and that he would've been mad as shit if he had known at the time

THIS! It really feels like the old Amy! Her firey and spunky nature was done so well! Her mannerisms were spot on too!.
i just love how they brought, Amy the silly/bubbly, cheerful and cutsey personality back, i felt it was really toned down on frontiers (compared to other games like unleashed) , so i was kinda "afraid" this would be the new direction on her character, but glad i was wrong lol

That's one of the issues for me with the writing and handling of the characters these days. They're more focused on references, Easter eggs, and shallow attempts to show that they remember or know the nuances of the franchise/characters instead of just putting in the effort of.

The "Sonic is Sonic" thing is so exhausting. The Sonic his creators made, the one in 1,2, 3, Adventure, Sonic X, and onward up to Black Knight is the definitive version. Everything else is a deviation. It's not rocket science.
