Looking at the National and the qualifying rules.
Iwilldoit ran 5 times over fences winning a Welsh Nash and a Classic Chase - Not qualified.
Mr Incredible ran 6 over fences and has refused to race, pulled himself up and a brought down at the 4th - Qualified

No no no!!! The Saturday of Cheltenham will be up against Premier League and Six Nations rugby unlike Royal Ascot! It would have no exposure in pubs on the Saturday and no column inches on the Sunday! It’s a ridiculous idea!
"Cut back the races per day so you end up with six, then you need only two new races. It will take a while to bed in, but if you look at Royal Ascot its biggest day now is the Saturday"

Horse like Stay Away Fay are your proper Brown Advisory/Gold Cup types. Right from the Don Poli, Native River, Santini type of chaser. Jumps like a buck, keeps a bit to himself but stays all day!

Gallyhill a non runner due to the ground! If i’d payed £450k for a jumps horse and soft ground at Cheltenham in January was too much for him i’d ask serious questions! And don’t get me started on the 2 wind ops already!

What absolute legends Clan DO and Kemboy are! Ran at Gr1 level for years now and hardly missed a beat the pair of them! They hate the 3m2f test of the GC but my word they’re fantastic horses with some constitution! Be back for more next year as well probably!

The Saturday coverage would be completely lost against football and Super Saturday Six Nations! No pubs would show the racing like it does now on the Friday and the Sunday papers wouldn’t give it column inches due to other sports as well! Totally against a Saturday Festival.

How good were the 2020 versions of the Marsh and the Brown Advisory as races to watch!
BA - Champ, Minella Indo and Allaho one day.
Marsh - Samcro, Melon and Faugheen the next day
Hardly anything between them! Great races! 🔥🔥🔥
The 2020 Marsh Chase was another unbelievable finish up the Cheltenham hill.
Some roar as Faugheen went for one final push but he fell just short as Samcro got up to beat Melon in a photo.
Three brilliant horses.

Not surprised to see that it didn’t take a lot of persuading for Russell to get back in the saddle but in my opinion Gordon Elliott shouldn’t even have asked him! The man is 43 and has a young family! How would you feel if you were Elliott and Russell got seriously injured now?
