Crazy markets the last few weeks. Reminds me of 23 years ago as the Nikkei225 was crumbling, knock out options were accelerating the decline and I was long 100,000 futures contracts and short 60,000 options contracts and trying to manage risk. Not surprising it didn't work!!.

21 years ago today was the longest day of my life. Waiting to be released from Tanah Merah Prison, you count every second as the clock slowly ticks round. As bad as the previous four and a half years had been, time stood still for the last couple of weeks.

After being reminded it's exactly 22 years since I was sentenced in Singapore. It reminds me that I spent the first week in the 'killers' cell. The other lad had killed several people and was hung in April 1996, I had killed a bank!.

GOLD suffered its worst daily fall in over 7 years yesterday and has continued in the same direction overnight falling to as low as $1862 this morning before recovering slightly. The rally to these levels was spectacular but the demise has been equally jaw dropping.
