This is our tribute to women we have lost over the years and to those who are living with this abuse. Our director Della said: “The New Futures Project will always be a place of refuge for all victims of misogyny and male violence.”

New domestic abuse stats make for typically grim reading. Our director Della says: "Women we talk to every day are living in absolute terror. "We must continue to support those women but also start to talk about how attitudes can be changed."

So many of the women we support will be desperately low and isolated this Christmas. Some of them would say warmth and safety are the best gifts they could hope for. Well, once again we're asking for your help. You've never let us down yet.

This is the latest moving piece of writing by a member of the New Futures team. Our crisis support worker Avril, (pictured), remembers Zoe - another of the women we knew whose life ended far too soon.
