Toe-Taps are common in softball b/c we as females use it for pelvic stability to help “Stay in the back hip”.
Easier to be on 2 feet (the first tap) than it is on one foot (hovering in the air). Also the reason why girls do foot down early; for stability.

As a Triple Threat, how well can you go from tool to tool? Can you transition based off of what you see on the field? Great example here on how to create a shift and then beat it! 👊
Drill: 3 Ball Walk Thru 🥎🥎🥎
By walking through, the hitter coordinates her moves towards the ball.
By bringing the barrel back, the hitter is learning how to activate their core and stay stable while rotating.

Punch Slaps 🥊👋
Punch Slaps are a great tool to use when a slapper feels like they are doing “too much” and are working on being short and compact. They are great approaches when focusing on hitting the ball back up the middle or hitting short shots past a close infield.

Creating Bounce for Slapping
That are different feels for different athletes. Neither is right or wrong.
Staples for this tool:
- Depth (letting the ball get to a deeper part of my body to stay on the top)
- Linear Direction (The path I follow to attack the ball & when to run)
Rotate From The Front 🔄
While it is easy to spin and pull with our back (our posterior chain), it is a whole other level to learn to move from the middle/front (anterior). Learn to hit to all fields and be a hard out!
