Novavax FTW. Lasts at least TWICE as long as mRNA, maybe 3x. Plus vastly fewer side effects. This is the one, the best protection vax at this moment in time. Ofc we still need better and hopefully someone is working on that, but make sure n get Nova, while it’s still available.
Just released: Pretty remarkable 1-year durability data for Novavax 2-dose primary series. Though there is some expected waning, there was >65% efficacy at 1y (mRNA options typically wane to this level by ~4-5 months). Also fewer waning differences by age.

COVID was worse for CD8s specifically (lower count, biomarkers showing exhaustion).

Just got Novavax!

How about a table top CR Box that looks like a slice of cake? Same as always: cheap 3x120mm PC fan, 2x merv 11 filters, masking tape (I prefer it to duct tape on small builds) and cardboard. Base is the box the fan came in.

99% don’t mask or care. Were they testing and 5 day isolating? Ofc not. That’s why we assume they are carriers. This changes little

Just found a great study for Covid and BUSES, & it has a simple solution! They use the windshield defroster on blast as fresh intake, n crack half of the other windows, got ACH 22!!
Won’t address diesel particulate just COVID

The first study to show COVID was airborne was before lockdown, and was based on the infection pattern from people IN BUSES. Feb 2020. We need to fix the BUSES or everything else is pointless. Kids, airline passengers, public transport…it will never stop spreading if not fixed

Better-than-N95 options for beards testing continues. This is a GVS N99 with a cinch-able gaiter over it. Very comfortable and non cyborg. Much less bulk than 3M disposi P100. Is there really a 1% difference? Could be my new standard.

Grandpa is visiting frm CAN for Tday. Here’s what we did:
1. He started masking a few days before coming. He doesn’t usually. He is vaxed prev n got over covid a month ago.
2. Made him promise to mask on plane.
3. Tested for 3 days, masked when he was in the house.

Just wanted to mention for anyone freaking out: hoods work! I just made pasta w gas and with the hood on high and door cracked, PM and co2 meter never showed any issues. You don’t need to stop cooking just ventilate heavily. Burning butter trial next
