I LOVE CJ Gunn’s game and his progress this year. He’s been a great teammate and very obviously well liked in the locker room. Everything else on the court he’s been doing has been a bonus. You see it in the press conferences and in the huddles. He has become one of the leaders on this team. SCO MONS
CJ Gunn (@CJ_Gunn22) is a guy who has really proven himself this season and has become a crucial piece for DePaul. On offense, Gunn has been awesome all year, tied with the most PPG on the team with 12 a game while also adding in around 4 rebounds and a steal per contest. In a big win against Seton Hall, Gunn recorded his 8th straight double-digit scoring performance, a testament to his hard work and dedication. Gunn, a slender 6'7" with a smooth offensive game, possesses a pretty jumpshot, seamlessly rising over defenders to release it and consistently hitting big shots. While always an effective offensive player, Gunn has consistently improved his overall game, showcasing enhanced rebounding and defensive contributions. Tasked last night with guarding Seton Hall's leading scorer, Isaiah Coleman, CJ was busy fighting through screens and working his tail off to hold Coleman to 6/20 from the field.
