The red car was 5.5 years ago on the media launch on Mallorca. I liked it so much I reckoned I’d have one some day. As of three hours ago the grey one is mine. It’s a GTI Performance with adaptive dampers and a manual gearbox. Perfect spec and so far I can’t fault it.

Key box was found by the police and taken away. It won’t be replaced. Locks changed and upgraded to anti-snap, cameras/lights/motion sensors/deadbolts already installed, alarm system programmed, cockapoo reminded of his responsibilities.

Today was such a challenging day, struggled with the balance and generally putting together laps fast enough. I managed to pull out two solid laps at the end to secure my 91st pole position. I’m grateful to my team for providing me the package to do what I do 🙌🏾

Ordinarily a new car launch requires me to drive two hours to an airport, sit around for an hour and on a plane for two, then in a transfer for another one. But today's launch venue is 38 minutes away from my house, in the Cotswolds. And I'll be going by RS Megane. Perfect.
