Camp 2018- Update 1
All students arrived safely and have settled down to eat. Once fed they will be building their shelters for tonight’s first sleep in the forest!

Our own Mr Whearity, Head of Year 7 and Great Britain Athlete finished 12th in the European 24 hour running Championships in Italy. Mr Whearity completed 260.6km in 24 hrs! finishing 12th out of 150 european athletes. Well done Mr Whearity 💪🇬🇧👏

Bulmershe Year 7 Students win the University Challenge for second year in a row at Reading University. 19 teams took part and Bulmershe School was placed 1st and 2nd for secondary schools.

Camp 2019- Active day in the forest. Archery, carving and first aid training. Last group activity before dinner ‘the Fish eye challenge!’ weather improving.

Camp 2019- A fantastic day in the forest with much improved sunny skies! It was the y8s turn with the bow and arrow whilst the y7s put their first aid skills to work by rescuing some teachers from a mock plane crash deep in to the forest.

Well done to our 6th form students who led assemblies to celebrate Black History Month. They wanted to highlight the diversity within Bulmershe, sharing their own family histories and heritage, and explaining why black history is British history and should be taught every month

Shelter building challenge!
As the year 9s arrive we begin to build our cardboard city to tuck ourselves in for the night. Using only cardboard boxes, duct tape and crisp packet ground sheets to build shelter from the cold.

👏 Congratulations to all our students who have received their A-level, BTEC and GCSE results. Last week, nearly a 1/4 of our A-Level students received A* - A and over half were A* - B. Today, over 50% of our GCSE students have gained a grade 5 or above in English and Maths 🙌

Making ourselves a nutritious meal using chickpeas, spinach, onions, garlic and tomatoes. Making sure we end the evening with a hot meal in our stomachs as the sun begins to set.

Great Britain and Bulmershe’s Mr Whearity sets off on the gruelling 246 km Spartathlon in Greece. This ultramarathon race is held annually in Greece between Athens and Sparta, the modern town on the site of ancient Sparta. Good luck Sir! 🇬🇷 🇬🇧

Here's a close up of one of our Y9 Design & Technology Shelter Project's waterproof blankets. The blanket has been created using old recycled crisp packets, which have been opened up, connected together using an iron and placed within a plastic sheet to ensure it is water-tight.
