Draymond Green is questionable for the Warriors in Philadelphia tomorrow night. Right knee contusion he's been dealing with during this trip. Andrew Wiggins is probable to return.
It’s so insane to me that this org is looking to trade Wiggins over CP.
There are issues with Wiggins game, and he’s mostly been shite this year… but he’s still in his prime (in theory) and he’s a proven playoff guy (over multiple runs).
What exactly is 39yr old CP?
Let’s remind people… not a WORD from Lacob after Deki passed… Kerr and Dun attending the funeral, no Lacob.
But dude has the NERVE to start talking about slashing payroll again, as the team is playing their best ball since the 22’ Finals.
Zero respect for the guy. Zilch.
It’s funny bc it’s actually the exact opposite.
GSW has gone to their best playoff lineup in the regular season, because of their lack of playable frontcourt depth.
The question is if this small lineup can withstand the regular season, physically. If they can… lookout.
"I think the Warriors new starting lineup is a great regular season formula. If you look at the size come playoff time, I worry that they don't have enough. It's an issue against the Nuggets, Timberwolves, even Lakers."

Yeaaa we need a deep dive on those Steph clutch stats lol the numbers look good,but it seems like they always lose and most of the time it’s after he misses a clutch shot or has a clutch time turnover..I don’t think that’s worthy of the award. These niggas .500 & the 10 seed. Lol
"The Warriors could have sold. They weren't going to do a fire sale, but if this season did not turn when it did, you could have seen Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney moved."

@timkawakami
's biggest takeaway from his conversation with Joe Lacob (via
@WillardAndDibs
).
Lacob: "So that's kind of Plan A. But there's a Plan 1B & 1B is we can go even further than that. We can make big changes if we had to. If this team were to slide all the way down here and not do well at the end of the year, you know there's going to be big changes."
“We think Steph can still spearhead a contender, but we are unwilling to make any moves to create that contender”
WHAT ARE WE DOING? HOW DOES ANY OF THIS MAK SENSE??
They don’t. They never did.
Entire organization, from top to bottom, are Steph and Draymond merchants.
The two most unique players at their position, both with the team for double digit years, and the org has ZERO idea how to effectively build around them.
Incredible.
I'm not even sure what these Fans are arguing. That the Warriors should tank? They're not tanking. And you'd scream about wasting a Curry prime year if they did.
Trade for Giannis? Yeah, can't believe the Bucks wouldn't take Joseph + a 2nd-rounder for him.
Sources: Detroit Pistons F/C Isaiah Stewart punched Phoenix's Drew Eubanks in the back tunnels of Suns arena today. It's unclear what sparked the altercation. The NBA is expected to receive footage to review. More to come.
Anunoby and Bojan were two of the biggest names in the trade market from the start of the year. Knicks got both of them (and Precious and Alec Burks) without giving up a single first round pick. Insane
"I don't anticipate anything happening...I can tell you there's been no desperation on our part. There's plenty of conversations, but 0 desperation."
- Steve Kerr refuting the report that the Warriors are "desperate" to make a move before Thursday's deadline (on
@WillardAndDibs
)
TK: "Can you say you are going to be out of the 2nd Apron going into the offseason?"
Joe Lacob: "I'll go beyond that. I'll tell you that our Plan 1A is we'd like to be out of the tax. And I think we have a way to do that. That kind of is the plan. Not just out of the 2nd Apron."
Defending Dame has become exhausting. Finally got what we wanted and the ball is in his hands much more just for him to consistently pass up good shots and then shoot contested bad shots. At what point do we accept this might just be who he is now
Team is DYING for playable bigs, and one of the best backups (who could probably start for GSW) just went for scraps.
Disgusting org. No focus or convictions.
No trades are happening. Unless it’s a Wiggins salary dump disguised as a “basketball move”
Mentality watching Steph and Dray play beautiful hoops the rest of the season:
You need. To get through. The regular season.
This isn’t a difficult concept. You cannot play at playoff level intensity for 82 games. Small lineups require that.
Playable size will GET their best guys to playoffs healthy and a bit fresher.
Not a difficult concept!!
Final thought on this.
Furious Warriors Twitter always screams that they have to be bigger because THEY LOST THE LAKERS SERIES BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO SMALL!
Yet GSWs outrebounded LALs by 22 in that series.
It isn't just about height. It's about efficiency and making plays.
Yes Tim. They did go smaller. In CRUNCH TIME.
Not for 82 games, the majority of the time.
Why are you being so dense? Lacob’s shoe that far up your ass??
Warriors Twitter is obsessive about height when I think you guys watched them win 4 titles going smaller at crunch time? Or maybe you didn't watch because you were too busy sneering 24/7.
"If [LeBron James] has wandering eyes in the summer, or if Kevin Durant does or if Paul George is going to be a free agent at this point... the
#Warriors
will be in on that conversation."

Shit or get off the pot man. Do SOMETHING meaningful.
For starters, there is ZERO reason for CP to be on this team in 48hrs. NONE at all.
They haven’t missed a beat without him, when Dray is healthy.
This is an absolute bold face lie… because any trade that includes Wiggins, instead of CP3, is a trade about money, not basketball.
Same old playbook from GSW. Distract, deflect, while tearing it down.
Thank god for 2022. Bc this era is OVER.
Of course, something interesting could pop up in the next 24 hours that the Warriors believe would be a good basketball deal. As has been the case for months, Andrew Wiggins would be the most likely focus point.
But at this point, there's no basketball deal.
Same.
Suns, @ Jazz, Clippers, @ Jazz... need to go 3-1, and preferably take the 3 games against the teams closer to them in the standings.
Last couple weeks have me more optimistic than ANY point last season tho... The Warriors are starting to look like the WARRIORS again.
The Utah Jazz are finalizing a trade to send C Kelly Olynyk and guard Ochai Agbaji to the Toronto Raptors for Kira Lewis, Otto Porter and a 2024 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN.
Trade Wiggins away in order to keep Klay is organizational malpractice. Wiggins has sacrificed, came off the bench, signed for less money to get other paid, was a
#2
in a championship season
THIS is why GSW gives up to many corner 3s… they are tiny, and need to overhelp on everything.
But their front office analyzes incorrectly, and frets about POA defense, when some normal level of size and rim protection would alleviate most/all of the problems.
It probably would've been nice to have an interior presence so that you didn't need to help as much, a problem you've had literally the entire season because you refuse to play your best rim protector.. but what do I know
Assuming they don’t trade him, CP3 will be active for, what, 20 more games as a Warrior? 25? And if he’s active, he’s playing, so that’s fewer games/minutes for guys like Podz/Moody/GP2. While being even smaller. Truly struggling to understand how they think that’s the way to go.
Steph Curry is the ONLY PLAYER EVER to average at least 40 points while shooting 50-40-100 over a 4-game span. 🤯
46 PTS (17-35 FGM, 9-21 3PM, 3-3 FTM)
37 PTS (12-17 FGM, 8-13 3PM, 5-5 FTM)
20 PTS (6-16 FGM, 4-9 3PM, 4-4 FTM)
60 PTS (22-38 FGM, 10-23 3PM, 6-6 FTM)
The CP3 trade itself was meant to get that salary spot off the books after this offseason, unless you can manage to move him. The whole point of moving JP was to not have to pay him. Chris is either getting cut or traded this offseason and he knows it.
This is why James Wiseman is terrible: on offense he fumbles the rebound, gets it back and misses the shot/ whatever, it happens. On defense, he isn’t paying attention and doesn’t help on the drive, then FLIES out of position to block the layup then fouls AD on the putback.
The replies are coping with “KD costing” OKC the series… Reality?
Games 5-7 of the 2016 WCF:
Russ: 26/11/8 (5 turnovers per game as well) on 37/26/74 splits
Steph: 33/8/7 on 47/47/91 splits
Lmao
Lots of news in here, including:
Lacob says "Plan 1A" this offseason is to not only get out of the 2nd apron but to move below luxury-tax line. That'd be a big cut from this season's payroll but doable with some large expiring deals coming off the books giving them flexibility.
For a guy who claims to have “sources”, you SURE do speak out of turn A LOT…
Here’s a clip of Logan Murdock, from YESTERDAY, speaking on how much this current GSW has “galvanized” around Draymond:
Is it necessary after Warriors loss to pinpoint the exact person, who is most responsible for both the defeat & the situation the Dubs find them in, and just straight up eviscerate him lol
Kerr always leans O over D in the clutch, which is exactly why they can never get stops in the clutch. Whether they win or lose always comes down to whether steph can outscore the other team. He did not today
All road wins are meaningful. All teams have soft spots in their schedules. All games matter at some point.
You count wins and losses. I'm not sure why NBA Fans want to argue not to count wins and losses.
That stretch last winter/spring where the org refused to make a trade with Steph injured, and Klay carried the team on O… absolutely cooked him for good.

@SiddharthNBA
He didn’t care, nor will he.
My (totally unsourced and full-on guess) would be that Lacob had some resentment towards Deki for not being able to develop Wiseman.
@Tgunn21
I was kind of stunned in the interview with TK that he did not reference Deki’s death, in fact TK had to remind of the recent “tragedy” and even then Lacob said nothing about Deki. Genuinely disturbing, and just crassly insensitive.
The FO is actively considering how trades affect Kuminga and his role, over how the same trade could help inch this team closer to title contention.
It is JOEVER, folks.
btw, Turner just became the Pacers all time leader in multi-block games, and is ~30 blocks away from the most blocks in franchise history.
Glad we held on to this guy though.
One way to solve these issues?
Trade for a rim protecting center.
Takes advantage of Draymond’s defensive versatility, allows him to do more quarterbacking, AND puts less onus on elite POA defense.
🚨NEW WORDS🚨
With two wings to contain at the POA in Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green has been able to anchor a defense that has stifled opponents to 99.6 points per 100 possessions -- nine points stingier than the best defense in the NBA.
Take away one
Charlotte is receiving a 2027 first-rounder from Dallas -- top-two protected -- and sending two second rounders to Mavericks as part of the deal, sources said.
On a night when I should have spent most of my words on the magnificence of Steph, I instead spent them on all the ways the Warriors continue to let him down. Some words on another gut-punch loss to the Hawks, who possess many things the Dubs lack:
You stood on the table for Wiseman too. An unhealthy amount of times.
Positivity merchant for raw “talent” who passes it off as “analysis”
(Fwiw, I would not trade for Kuminga for anything less than a Lauri-level player)
Was told that Ben Johnson was "turned off" by Commanders ownership, that they're "basketball guys" and felt they were a little too confident in their football opinions. And I also heard that he "didn't interview well." He said, he said, but clearly not a good fit for both sides.
