But their front office analyzes incorrectly, and frets about POA defense, when some normal level of size and rim protection would alleviate most/all of the problems.

You can trade Chris NOW, for other expiring deals, and improve the team immediately… but GSW has no appetite for that, for some reason.
The CP3 trade itself was meant to get that salary spot off the books after this offseason, unless you can manage to move him. The whole point of moving JP was to not have to pay him. Chris is either getting cut or traded this offseason and he knows it.
