At end of the '15-16 season:
KD was on OKC
Boogie was a King
LeBron was a Cav
Kyrie was a Cav
Kawhi was a Spur
DeRozan was a Raptor
CP3 was a Clipper
Blake was a Clipper
PG13 was a Pacer
Butler was a Bull
Isaiah was a Celtic
Carmelo was a Knick
Hayward was on UTA
What a league.
Steph's finger.
Boogie's quad.
Klay's ankle.
Iguodala's calf.
KD's calf.
KD's Achilles.
Klay's knee.
And god knows what else.
It just wasn't in the cards.
Gary Payton II was one of the best stories of the entire NBA season. And now everything he’s worked for has been snatched away from him. It’s heartbreaking.
Again: Draymond doesn’t commit a single foul here. They’re not illegal screens; it’s just the Celtics conceding space. Same contact happens all over the place on literally every possession. Watch more ball. Learn the rules. Stop bitching.
The Warriors have home court advantage for the final two rounds of the playoffs despite Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green missing a combined 104 regular season games
There’s no excuse. They could have matched that and still built the roster they wanted. The Warriors deserve all of the heat they’re going to get for letting GP2 leave. It’s just senseless.
In consecutive games, the Warriors lost two certain future Hall of Famers to two of the most serious injuries a basketball player can suffer.
I can't imagine that's ever happened to any team before.
There has never been a star player throughout NBA or ABA or any basketball league in human history that has gotten a worse whistle than Steph. And this is year 15!
Steph Curry:
Unanimous MVP season: 30.1 ppg on 50/45/91 shooting; 5.09 3-pointers per game
This season: 30.0 ppg on 49/44/93 shooting; 5.04 3-pointers per game
The Warriors aren’t trading Wiseman+Kuminga+Moody for anyone. There’s like 5 or 6 NBA players they’d do it for and none of them are ever going to be available.
He didn’t make a play on the ball. He pushed him from behind while in mid-air. He wound up and smacked him in the head with full follow-through. It was a dirty, dangerous, malicious play and the NBA needs to hold Dillon Brooks accountable for it. Multi-game suspension.
Either Wiggins gets vaccinated, or he’s shoving a giant middle finger in the Warriors’ face — and particularly Klay’s, after everything he’s been through.
Step up and be a good teammate, at the very least.
Summarized:
CP3 is coming of the bench. Klay will never play for any other team. And the Warriors didn’t sign Dwight cuz he’s a weirdo.
One month to go 🔥
Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole need to combine for 6-or-more 3-pointers in Sunday’s finale against the Blazers to break the NBA single-season record for most 3s by three teammates
Brooks is a repeat offender and has a “history of unsportsmanlike acts,” so if the league is gonna be consistent, that’ll be a 1 game suspension.
(It won’t be a suspension.)
The Warriors have no need for Chiozza. They have needed another big since the start of the season. Adding one on a two-way seems like a very obvious solution.
The Warriors are not struggling because their young players haven’t developed into stars. They’re struggling because their “stars” can’t put the ball in the hoop. Kuminga and Moody aren’t even close to being the main problem right now. It’s Wiggins, CP3 and Klay, in that order.
Dubs struggles come down to this: they had 3 lottery picks that were supposed to be the bridge to the future and so far, they failed to develop these talents in ways that would energize the roster. Draft Haliburton + Franz or Sengun and GSW outlook right now is much different.
I definitely don’t want to hear any suggestions that Kuminga’s attitude is to blame at all anymore. They’re creating that attitude, for no apparent justifiable reason.
Congrats to Steph and Ayesha on the birth of their son Canon Curry, who - counting his sisters - has already made one 3.
The first of thousands, I'm sure.
You could watch that replay in super duper slow-mo, and Poole still would barely make any contact with Ja’s knee. This is the exact opposite of “grit and grind”.
That loss is on the Warriors’ vets. It’s not anyone else’s job to get them up for a freaking closeout game AT HOME. Not Kerr. Not the fans. They didn’t respect their opponent. Truly unacceptable.
