Looks like I am almost done with Android 15 bringup for @TeslaAndroid, that was quick! I mean… if you name your build server after Starship the project has to move quickly 😂

@coldenvy there is no install other than powering the device via USB-C, it is all hidden in the case. I’ll be working on drivers for the new hardware in the upcoming weeks

@darealhuddybud @AtomAntEater @itskyleconner True, MCU2 in some revision has the Wi-Fi antenna in the right mirror on the outside. Not ideal. You can also try a different Wi-Fi channel (2.4GHz). It runs on 5GHz by default, not exactly great for an outdoor antenna. Not going to lie - TA performs much better on AMD

First devices with our new housing are on the way to new Tesla Android Bundle owners 🫡 What’s changed? - the material is more durable and can withstand higher temperatures. We’re using Carbon Fibre reinforced PETG - the device has little feet to enable better airflow to the LTE modem - we’re one step closer to the GEN2 bundle that should be available this summer. Like promised, all new hardware features will be easy (and cheap) to retrofit to existing devices Back to working on improving the software 😁

@keith_chn what Tesla SV version? It works perfectly for me with the current version, I have some fixes coming (for occasional hickups and BT audio not working) but it should work for you

@ssickle42 @SnazzyLabs @teslogic_inc Thanks for the shoutout Simon. @SnazzyLabs if you still have a Tesla and a Pi 4 it’s certainly worth trying 😎

Sky is the limit with Tesla Android. Monitoring your 3D printer while driving on Autopilot? Not a problem at all. Tesla software 2023.14+ made MCU2 much more usable, maybe it’ll get even better at some point 😁
PRINTER GO BRRRRRR 🥹 Kidding, not printing this exact model. We’re evaluating doing low volume production with a print farm in our office. Some SKUs need unique housings and making injection molding forms for a few hundred units per month does not make sense. Bambu PETG-CF looks so good that it is worth trying, it also feels better than cheap plastic housings.
