Trooper Chad Walker, TPD officers participated in a statewide tribute this afternoon. Governor Greg Abbott asked Texas law enforcement officers to turn on their emergency lights for one minute at 1 p.m. to honor Walker.
This adorable boy fell at the very beginning of our Torch Run yesterday. After he got a band-aid and a junior officer sticker, he wanted Lt. Hunt to help him finish the lap. They finished strong!

We received this photo yesterday from a parent stating "We just want to thank this officer for getting the ice cream for my daughter today, he made her day!!! She said that now she wants to be a police officer 👮"

We received a note from a resident wanting to thank one of our officers for lending a hand this afternoon.
This resident's vehicle was broken down on West Adams, and Ofc. Dillenburg was able to help push her to safety.

We want to highlight this amazing young lady! Emma was riding in the car with her mom and two siblings when her mom had a medical emergency. Emma jumped into her mom's lap, put the vehicle in neutral and coasted safely to a stop where EMS arrived to help her mom. Way to go, Emma!
WOAH, we've got the goods! That's 303 backpacks filled with school supplies lining our Temple PD hall for the children in our area to help 125 families total.

TPD officers acted courageously on Sunday night to save the life of a teenager who was experiencing an emotional crisis. The teen had climbed over the railing on the East Avenue H bridge. Officers were able to pull her to safety.

The Temple Police Department is searching for another missing teenager. Mackenzie Trosclair, 17, was last seen April 28, 2021. Anyone with information is asked to call TPD at 254-298-5500.

Temple ISD schools are back in session. It's been a while since we've seen the school zone lights flashing, but remember to watch for kids crossing streets, pay attention to school zones, and stop for school buses.
