First time driving an AMG today with this GLE53 Hybrid. Sounds incredible for a six-cylinder and really impressed by the powertrain. Not ashamed to say I think it looks great in this spec either

Pretty sure I’ve seen the entire world allocation of 911 Dakars today. And this is only about half of them! Great to see them being used on the ice at least…

@richardaucock Yeah, I’m actually quite pleased to be using it! Booked in for a good checkover/service next week that I ideally wanted to have done before using it a lot. But needs must!

@BrokenBennett I must admit I was slightly nervous of using it as I’ve only done short trips in it so far and it’s booked for a service/checkover next week that I wanted to have done before using it a lot. But seemed to run perfectly. Drives very well. Fingers crossed it just gets me home!

@JamesSunman1 I’m going to do some investigating; I think it’s predominantly MEB-based EVs that are worst affected but others have commented with other cats with battery issues. Within the company we also have a VW ID.7 out of action for the same reason

@AndrewParrish7 The issue here isn’t that it’s electric, more the faulty software that seems to be affecting most new VW Group cars, regardless of engine
