@weirdnj Spent quite a bit of time at “White City Lake” and the other waterways in the marshes. Our Fire dept used to bring a truck down in the winter to put a even coast of ice to skate on. One of my girlfriends lived on the bluff above the lake.

@FHVigilance You’re right, not right for the job. But we have them. The key is not let them ruin the culture. Don’t let them rent your brain for free. As far as hiring them, have conversation with the bosses to hire for character. This is a #Character problem.

@unfuckedfire Based on the comments from some firefighters regarding the California fires, those “privileged” people don’t count. There the same ones who say they are there “for them”.
