@PauleyMo67 @TulipPatriot It sounds to me like you're trying to adjust for some kind of gap theory. He created matter (the heavens and the earth), water, and light on Day 1 (the 24 hour period after He started time).

@PauleyMo67 @TulipPatriot God spoke space and matter into existence, ex nihilo. Beginning time can't be the first thing He did. He has to start time just to count the first thing. The first thing He did is speak.
