Some of the best views I’ve ever had of Hawfinch in FOD this afternoon. 4 dropped down to feed just metres away from the car but unfortunately I only got one shot off before they were disturbed

Aside from the Desert wheatear I managed 58 bird species in Carms today the highlights being an extremely confusing Glossy Ibis, Chough and a male Hen harrier

Nice to get back out in the rockpools at Oxwich today on the last big tide of the year. A big Long-spined sea scorpion, numerous Squat lobsters (15+) and lots of colourful Ballan wrasse. The day was rounded off by a nice little bass on the lure
