@battleforeurope I think they will just ban AfD instead. They have been talking about banning for a while now. Even the president threatened to ban.

@DefiantLs We all know the military-industrial complex is deeply corrupt. It is also an example of US "industrial policies". This is why US doesn’t do industrial policies.

@kevinsxu These are two very different systems. China would never allow any businessman to decide state policies like that.

@Megatron_ron Japan already owns over $1.3trillion US treasury notes and that is investment in US gov. It is a meaningless statement. By the way, China also invests about $800billion in US debt.

@JohnF_Sullivan Yet another worshiper of Bronz Age text. Surely, we have moved on and improved and technology has changed. We don't use Newton's Principia to teach college physics. These ancient texts are only of historical interest.

@mitchpresnick I am more pessimistic. After a decade of harsh rhetoric against China, the US political atmosphere simply won't allow this level of cooperation. At most there will be a transactional agreements, like the phase I trade deal and a Cold Peace.

@Lkseng3 @MrJerryGoode Yeah, does anyone remember Noriega? Ukraine is another example of a small nation disregarding its geopolitical position.

@KoutureMag @MrJerryGoode I am sure they worked out an exit clause before they signed the agreements. This is why there are assessments and the agreements are renewed or not renewed every few years. Panama is looking for a way to exit earlier, but Panama will not break existing agreements.

@MrJerryGoode It is a wise decision because Panama is taking its geopolitical position into account. If Panama does not, then Ukraine is the example.

@zhao_dashuai Japan owns $1.138 trillion worth of US treasury notes. In other words, Japan has already invested over $1trillion. By the way, China owns/invests $769billion US treasury notes.

@baoshaoshan Yes and I think this is what China has been doing. It is a rational decision considering that the sanction risk has increased quite a bit.

@DD_Geopolitics He said it wasn't worth revealing Russian spies. I am sure he is doing all he can to counter Western propaganda with his own.
