Failure is feedback. *Itās not permanent, unless you quit. *It doesnāt mean you suck, unless you tell yourself it does. *Itās not who you are, unless your results dictate your self-worth. *It IS a constant in this game called life. *It shows us exactly where we went wrong. Didnāt get the grade you wanted? Check your notes & study habits. Did you study the right stuff? Did you understand it? Did you spend enough time on it? Didnāt have the game/meet/match you wanted? Check your preparation, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and mindset. Results always leave clues. Cause & effect is always at play. The answers - and opportunity to improve - are there for the taking.

This is unacceptable! $3,275 for 9u!!! At older ages, tourney fees and travel (flights that r built-in) will ā¬ļøthe cost, but this is š! As a mom of 2x travel players (15u & 18u), I know that feelingā We get caught up in ākeeping upā ādoing what everyone else does, but it doesnāt have to be this way. There should be full transparency on how your $ is being used. Otherwise, say no & go elsewhere! There are orgs out there w/ good coaches who r honest.

If you had to make the best pitch of your life, what 2-3 things would you tell yourself? Think about it for a minute. These words become your "Pre-Pitch Constants" For example: 1. Breathe 2. Focal Point 3. Attack A mental skills hack from @jaegersports ā¬ļø

@jbsiemon Itās def not easy, and common sense is needed, but it does get āeasierā once we practice it as parents. Speaking from lots of practice.., and still have to remind myself consistently. š¬

Eating well and hydrating consistently > ONLY doing this on game day
Hey athletes, just because you blended up the 'perfect' pre-workout protein smoothie or ate the best pre-game meal it won't matter if you have been skipping meals, getting < 6 hours of sleep, and not consuming enough fluids in the days leading up to your event. Sports nutrition is not a "24 hour" deal. Nutrition, sleep, hydration, proper recovery and pre-game fueling is something you should be practicing 80% of the time. Instead of perfection focus on being consistent. Do basic better. Start with a daily breakfast rich in protein and carbs, then eat 3-4 balanced meals daily and avoid low quality food that will hold you back. Something> nothing
