Did you not actually read my RELEVANT reply, @mandolinoleum ? I don't agree that "dox" is a noun (yet?), since the intent of doxxing is what makes it controversial. e.g. Journalists' investigation of Public official's crime / corruption / malfeasance and their government contact info isn't considered doxxing but revealing their home / personal / family contact info is, specifically because the intent it usually to intimidate as opposed to solicit discourse To reiterate: I don't comprehend dox as a noun and you refused to give examples for me to review

I'm also participating to answer your reasonable questions, hence my attempts to agree upon definitions. I'm not on board (yet?) that dox can be a noun as opposed to the common usage of action or verb - can you provide examples? As for a litmus test for specific info, it depends Should Public officials vs private citizen have differing info to qualify as being doxxed?

This is the principal of Columbine High School in @JeffcoSchoolsCo. When a parent complained that a teacher was grooming her daughter he brushed it off and said the teacher “takes interest in helping kids navigate their sexuality.” He also helped cover up when staff secretly helped the student file paperwork to be homeless so she can move in with the teacher. He is still the principal. He needs to resign or be fired immediately.
