The judge was more worried about the financial hit the county was taking not having the jail open than he was about the safety of the inmates. That illustrates the problem of the american judicial system in a nutshell. Jails shouldnt be a local government cash cow.

In fairness people need to socialize their dogs. My pup is half pit and half catahoula leopard (both considered aggressive breeds) I made it a point to introduce her to multiple dogs, other people and other animals as a puppy. She's 2 now and has never met anyone she didn't love.
