End of an era for the iconic yellow carpet in my parent’s basement. We had a major storm come through the Denver, CO suburbs today and a tornado (!) brought so much rain and hail that it flooded the basement. This is all going to have to be replaced.

Here is an unreleased version of Norman from 2013! This item was made by Fisher-Price and was supposed to be included in a cancelled four-pack with Thomas, Percy, and Diesel. He’s got an updated face, better details, and rounded edges like all Mattel engines from that era.

Red Metallic James in all his glory! This was a promotional item given away in Japan around 2009/2010 and was never sold in the US. I’m very fortunate to have both an NIB and unboxed version of this amazing engine. Hope you enjoy him as much as I do!

The Hatteras Island Toy Store has sat untouched for close to a decade on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I had to outrun a hurricane to get there, but it was so worth it. It was like stepping back in time to 2011 - what an experience!
