Leading tomorrow’s procession for Her Majesty the Queen into Windsor Castle is PH Aurora 🐴
Aurora is no stranger to being involved in Royal events and engagements, but this will be her last major deployment as she’s retiring next March.
Following the sad death of HM The Queen today, many people are paying their respects in Windsor and the town is already busy.
We are on patrol in the town and will be through the night, to ensure everyone’s safety.
Our officers, both armed and unarmed, are continuing to patrol Windsor as the funeral of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh approaches.
These security measures are business as usual , but have increased during this period of national mourning.
We’re extremely proud that Aurora’s last deployment representing Thames Valley Police will be for such a historic event 🌟

A group of Thames Valley Police officers will have the distinction of being part of the Guard of Honour in Windsor at the committal service taking place today for Her Majesty the Queen.
They will form before the procession carrying her Majesty.
