Elon Musk isn't actually trying to buy ChatGPT. He's just messing with Scam Altman. Musk offered a whopping 97.4 billion to buy OpenAI, which is a huge number, But it's not about buying it; it's about screwing Altman over... He's trying to shift OpenAI, from a non-profit to a for-profit gig, and it's a legal mess, and lots of people calling it out. Right now, OpenAI is wrapped in this non-profit blanket, but Altman and his crew want to strip it down to just for-profit. To do this, they've got to pay the non-profit a big chunk of change. Altman sits on both boards - the old non-profit one and the new for-profit one. So sam has to pay 40billion to make it for profit. And the non-profit side gets 40 billion to let go of the company. But here's where Musk's move is genius: by throwing out a 100 billion offer, he's forcing the price up. Altman has to pay more now because there's an actual market offer on the table. It's all about making things harder for Altman and OpenAI, driving up the cost and muddying the waters. That's Musk's game here. @ElonMuskAOC
