There is a difference in college coaches saying they love multisport athletes, and the reality of them loving baseball players that are athletic enough to play multiple sports! DONT GET CONFUSED BY THIS!
WOW!!! 34 Scholarships!! But more importantly 34 Roster spots! Do the math..300 times 6. 1800 players that will not be rostered. Basically the NCAA just eliminated 53 entire D-1 Rosters
@TJHannam10
Hitters either see shapes or spin! As a shapes guy nothing used to frustrate me more then when coaches would say, see the spin!!! But I saw the ball pop up, I saw the shape of the pitchers hand at release.
It’s a tough time in the recruiting world to be a good baseball player, and not have metrics that stick out! With rules changes, and the portal schools are going to pause, and make sure they are 100% correct on a player, be patient, and don’t get frustrated. KEEP IMPROVING!

So I am 100% with you on the “velocity” places. But I also know as a coach that my guy with a .2 Era that throws 83, will have no chance at playing at a school like Michigan. So it is hard for me to blame the kids. There has to be a way to train both!
It always bothered me when professional athletes said they were not role models! That is exactly what they are… thank you

My daughter ready to go at 6:45 this morning.
What percentage of the 3200 + players in the transfer portal played for 3+ travel organizations in their career? A leopard does no change their spots…

YES/YES/NO hitting vs IS IT/YES/GO… one will lead to success, the other will lead to 2-0 Fb being fouled off over the oppo dugout!! Hitters….Your eyes are your breaks, not the gas pedal!!!
Dear parents, since it has been a year since recruiting has been “normal” just a reminder..stay away from behind the plate, and talk with coaches only if they tak to you first. This is not your gig, and chance are you will hurt your son more then help him!
Billy Wingren (‘26, NJ) on time and though the baseball to line a double into the gap. Rhythm in the box with developing hand speed.

Understand how you can maintain the backside while having linear movement. Look at the back hip socket and follow the pant wrinkles! The longer you can hold, the more powerful the swing!
@GowagsKyle
Player development happens in games, skill development happens in cages and weight room! To much emphasis on skill development, not enough player development!

I get scared, that the new Portal, takes chances away from young men to learn these lessons. We have made it easy for people to move on, when the hard choice is what makes you be a good father, a good husband, and a good member of the community.
@TweetsbyCoachP
A college coach provides for his family on the skill set and makeup of 18-23 year olds. College coaches want to 1) Win 2) develop young men 3) run a program where integrity and academics are demanded not hoped for! Kids are a reflection of their parents most of the time!
Chase Bagley (‘26, NJ) leads the game off with a line drive single up the middle. Athletic mover in the box. Holds angles well and controls the barrel.

So I agree 100% with catchers. Pitchers I think need to focus on the pitching that day (I don’t like mine hitting, even if they are 3 hole hitter). But I agree 100% on the catchers need to Run.

I understand, and I think coming from an adults perspective that is rational, but do you remeber being 16/17? UM…100,000 on a football Saturday, 50,000 + students…or small liberal arts college in Cleveland? Just don’t think that is reasonable to ask a kid to be that mature!
The fact that I was thinking about breaking and decel patterns while trying to shovel snow this morning.....I think I have a problem!

@108_Performance
Dear 2021 Seniors who are committed to college next year...the players you are competing against are putting in 20+ hr a week on field and 6-8 in weight room..they will play 56+ games...so your 2 1hr a week practices are not “GRINDING”... up your level to compete next year!
These are my stats, from 12u- Until I retired at 26, I don’t show these to get a pat on the back, I show these to make people realize, that hitters hit, they always have and always will. So the .265 hitter in first round is a risk!
Of the 2,000 + players in the transfer portal I wonder how many would say “ I went to a level I could not compete at” vs “the coach did not like me”…. When making a decision make sure you can play at that level…life is not about Instagram moments!
I love Twitter, a lot of smart people sharing good information. But why is it so hard for us to figure out that young arms chasing velo prior to their bodies being ready is the
#1
cause of injury, not pitch count? Talk to those of us who have gone through it! It’s clear to us!
Dear college coaches who are frustrated with the transfer portal. Come ask us travel coaches how to prevent it. With the rise of these so called “national teams” we have been dealing with this for years now. You take a kid, develop them, spend countless hours with them
Any Coaches out there looking for a 6’5 2025 LHP with a low release and high spin go take a look, up to 87 earlier in week with a 97k-15bb HS season, how he is not off the board is crazy.
Players…in the age of 34 man rosters,transfer portal, NIL. You better have a coach that has your back, a coach that has connections, and more importantly a coach that can tell your story. Statistics show, you are going to need them!

Coached against him yesterday. I would 100% agree…if he is willing to go to the north east, let me know. A lot of D-1 up there can use him! Plays game right, smooth actions, short stroke with balance at plate. Also fun kid to talk to!
@ByrneConnor34
Connor, great career, one of the best teammates I have ever coached, and a hell of a young man! I would expect nothing less then class from you! Family matters, and you my friend come from one of the best!
Would love if there was a site that when a player said “Comitted” it would show the % and the HC of that school would have to confirm. Then we could track the schools that pull scholarships, and players that recommitted on school. Accountability for actions would be great!
The day after the
@LIBEXPOS
go 5-0 in Maryland, we head to D-Nation. I hit the ball hard today, some not finding holes but did pick up a few hits, a sac fly, a SB and pitched 4IP, 1R, 4K and 3H. Ready to finish the summer off strong.

Dear players and parents…The baseball world is like any other business world, consider how you treat other players and coaches…you never know who they know, and when you might need something from them.
All HS baseball recruits…your metrics are your floor, that any coach can see. Your ceiling is determined by how you play the game, this takes a coach multiple times to see, or he gets the information from one of your coaches. Every day you play, in front of coaches or not you
Let’s make this really easy…Baseball coaches love multi-sport athletes! (Valid) they love the best possible baseball players the most. If you can play multiple sports and still develop, go ahead!!
Be sure to check out my scouting report on ‘26 C Chase Bagley. He is a great young man with a relentless work ethic.
Has a short compact LH swing. Gets on base and has bat to ball skills.👍👍

Is the problem the showcases or the college coaches that take the kids throwing 88 with no command and an 8 ERA over the kid throwing 84 with a 2 ERA. The kids follow what the coaches want. Time for the college coaches to look in the mirror as well!
@mason_mcrae
They play in one of the best hitters ball parks in the country… so to counter act this fact they had to find guys who had swing and miss stuff..Enter Corey Muscara, one of the best recruiters in the country!

DO NOT PUT THIS ON THEIR COACH!!! He is as standup a guy as their is, as a coach this is 100% the last thing that you want! But when someone brings this to you you have to take it to your AD! But Do not put the is on the Westfield coach!
At some point in the next 3-5 years, pitchers will realize the R on R or L on L, 4 seam change up with out pronation is the best pitch in the game. Same spin, same arm action, I DONT CARE WHAT A TRACKMAN SAYS!
@aPROballplayer
Analytics uses Data to explain what’s HAS HAPPENED, they use to “predict” the future, but with baseball things change, mentality changes, swings change, players get married/divorced. Nothing is as simple as it seems.
@nextlevelbb
The problem is…travel coach will take their $$ and have to play them, HS coach does not have enough talent to sit a kid who does not know the game well, Juco coach is taking kid who has skill set upside, and d-1 coach is taking player who put up numbers.
It’s almost like approach matters to the best hitters in the world. But hey HS players keep worrying about your exit velo’s off a machine in November!

You act like this is different from the past? I was at small D-1 for 3 years, we had a $2,000 recruiting budget. 1 paid assistant at minimum wage. The field was never level…but you know what, we competed and works our butts off! I had 2 kids drafted out of HS come to us!
@BASEBALLSCOUTZ
Kids are being taught that Exit Velo in a cage in January and Velocity with no batter in the box is important! Rankings matter to these kids…Perfect game and PBR are making a lot of $$$ from rankings, and kids are chasing these numbers! True baseball players are being left ⬇️
The time frame has changed for pitchers who want to play D-1 Baseball. It used to be, you better be at 86-88 (min) your Sr year of HS. It started the rush for velocity training, and increase in injuries. Well that time frame has now changed
Hitters you have to be on time for a pitch! Can be late to a FB, and early on a CB. You are setting yourself up to fail. Pick one, being on time for it, and battle the other! (Notice I did not say sit FB only)!

Black started off with 2 Ws. Looking to continue our success tomorrow @ 12:15. I started Game 2.
Todays stat line:
6IP. 13K. 3H. 3BB. 1R. (Picked off two) CB was super sharp, FB
Stride close, timing of front foot to back foot, barrel turn while front hip is engaging..using legs as timing to off speed pitch..all of this to get in position to swing the bat. Put yourself in position to have a good swing!
@MdMadeHitting
@108_Performance
Sitting pitches based on game situation, previous AB’s, pitcher tendencies, etc…. Is not GUESSING. Guessing is what you do calling heads or tails on a coin flip!!
💥Bat Speed is NOT the answer💥
It's not about swinging the bat through space as fast as possible, it's about imparting force w direction at the right moment in time + being able to recreate that result day in+day out
want to learn more about bat speed?
At what point are college recruiters and pro scouts realize that HITTERS HIT....if you think a change has to be made to make them successful..you probably have the wrong guy!
@TewksHitting
@CC20rake
@bretthewT2
Need help developing a radar system that will only give you a display of velocity if the pitch is in the strike zone. Or let’s say with in 6’ of the zone. If this existed do you think more kids would throw strikes?
Annual, how has no one signed/drafted this guy yet, post. Played at D-3 Level, Dominated, plate in NECBL, dominated. I get it he is a R/R 1st baseman, but damn man…hitter hit!
@AllOutBaseball
Amazing how many of those kids will be/have been contacted by that team to play! Loyalty and commitment to process goes a long way in the world
@MattyCleve5
@DerekJanuary22
I agree..but is that the kids fault or the culture that has been created? If I am a pitcher that hits spots and wins at 84...and my teammate can’t get out of the 1st throwing 90.and has 7 offers..the culture is the problem not the kid trying to find his way.
@GreekGodOfHops
Crazy idea...you can do both..use tech as a way to show a hitting improvements and still teach the mental side. But I guess that would not fit the narrative you are trying to spread.
Second bomb of the week to dead Center! The game becomes so much easier when you realize you can hit it out to dead center! Finish off an awesome summer Chris!
Your Instagram/Twitter post thanking god, your family, your coaches and teammate for committing is not the end goal. That is not the target. That should be step

Not a lot used to get me when I was playing professionally, it’s a grind. But every year the 4th would get me! Dads with their sons, the ball park, fireworks after the game! But the Cherry was the National Anthem. Seeing the flag wave.! God Bless America!
@JDelongchamps
It’s called a job, I have been in those dugouts! The difference is integrity, and the willingness to not let your teammates down. Easy pass for me on him here on out!
@YankeesFiles
Winners find a way to win, volpe has been a winner since he was 12, he improves in the areas that matter, and you find a stat that you think shows a decline. God I miss the times of BA/HR/RBI’s. Amazing how we still knew who the best players were with our all of EV/LA/HHB%
Can someone please show me where there is a direct correlation to pitch count and UCL surgery. Nolan Ryan threw 150+ on the reg, and nothing. STOP DRINKING ANDREWS Kool-Aid
