The weekend was capped off by hitting up the CMNH and finding some Pittsburgh desmog salamanders (which I misidentified of course) #JMIH24 #JMIH2024

@SolomonRDavid It was in a seasonally flooded area of a slow moving stream on our campus in the STL metro area (pic from a while ago but more or less looks the same)

Is having two developing #salamanders in the same egg capsule common? This is in spotted salamander eggs

@cy_mott @TomRadomski4 Same here of really warm but dry. We did get a pulse of movement by tigrinum and texanum though in very early Feb or late Jan on our last heavy rain. there were eggs in the pond on Feb 6
