@danwootton
Why ask for crowd funding to defend against something which you say is not true? Surely it’s best to let matters take their course & eventually truth will out through evidence in the courts or some other investigative process?
Extraordinary for a broadcaster
@StephenNolan
to cut an elected member of the Assembly short. There should be a full & wholesome apology from Stephen. He isn’t his own arbiter!
@adamcsmyth
@JohnnyMercerUK
This odious act is shameful and should haunt you. Unlawful murder isn’t excused by wearing a uniform. You have not only let down victims but let down tens of thousands of servicemen who never dishonoured their uniform or country.
@KHarveyProctor
There’s no threat to your freedom of expression…the proms is an international event, - many of the pieces are European.. the orchestra/ choirs/ audience contain all nationalities….music is global - wave whatever flag floats your boat except offensive ones
@andreajenkyns
To be a Christian country you would need to be practicing Christian faith & attending churches….. that isn’t the case .. you aren’t born Christian!!
The petrol bombings in Derry against the PSNI were carried out by children -some under ten.. let that sink in.. they didn’t lick this off the ground .. their parents & the sick minds who sent them out should be held to account. There’s no justification for this recklessness
@amandajplatell
Shameless as usual. But a second investigation would be welcome - a criminal one into the contracts awarded during covid & the financial arrangements of the Prime Minister whilst in office.
My column in today’s Irish News - these allegations are not going away until they are addressed by the BBC, OfCom & indeed Stephen Nolan. Stonewalling & radio silence won’t work.
@Ofcom
@StephenNolan
@bbcpress
@JamieBrysonCPNI
Read the interview- he is respectful to both Irish & English anthems ( and respects those who value & sing them) but sings neither. He uses the moments ahead of the match to concentrate on his game. He’s a soccer manager not a bloody choirmaster
@Peston
The Gambling Commission over reaching. There’s a difference in betting on what one knows to be a certainty ie having information as opposed to betting on the outcome of an election which can always been wrong..
@andreajenkyns
You are absolutely shameless… there were Tories who claimed more in expenses than the profit made on a council house sale actually lived in by its owner ..just call an election and move on from this sewer swimming
Talk about timing… Assembly Commission gives go ahead to a lump of rock to mark historical unionist intransigence on a day when modern unionist intransigence blocks necessary organ donation law! Talk about hearts of stone! NI fails again
@carlalockhart
I assume that’s a rhetorical question but nonetheless valid .. so why aren’t you capitalising on something which gives Northern Ireland longevity? Sorry, I forgot you’d rather have equality in economic impoverishment with the rest of UK as long as it feels good !
@OborneTweets
I think it’s an absolutely ridiculous story - she has 40 years experience at the top of the civil service & didn’t set the scales & isn’t the highest paid advisor. What experience had Case to be cabinet secretary or Cummings to be Chief of Staff?
It would be a huge mistake for hardline loyalists to believe there’s any emotional attachment to Stormont by the nationalist community. The Windsor Framework will remain. Labour won’t be renegotiating with EU. Time for a new Anglo- Irish Agreement.chew grass if you want lads!
@JamieBrysonCPNI
And such a response goes to the heart of the question of identity -which country is your country? You are not English. Not Scottish. Not Welsh. The so called ”our wee country” like the “biggest show in the country- is not actually a country.
@JamieBrysonCPNI
In a career of twenty five years writing. I have penned five columns ( 2 of which are recent) about the Nolan show .. you have clocked up more words on Twitter about him… & for the record - I hate no one- not even you . So calm down.
@DrUmarAlQadri
@FergalLenehan
Sorry about the shameful attack & grateful that the humanitarian nature of true Irishness was displayed by those who helped you
@darrengrimes_
Too many have been elevated beyond their talent by this Tory Government- She is one .. how she got this far is nothing short of miraculous -
How embarrassing for Northern Ireland .. .. pitiful for the international reputation of unionism & particularly sad for someone who should know better…..nothing more ex than a former politician..
🔴 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 | Dame Arlene Foster says she believes President Joe Biden "hates the United Kingdom", claiming: “I just think the fact he’s coming here won’t put any pressure on the DUP, quite the reverse actually."
@amandajplatell
@BorisJohnson
And the evidence is where? There really is no shame amongst Johnson cultists!! Try humility for a change.. it‘s a long missing virtue!
@pritipatel
A cowardly act not to face the judgment of his constituents … never mind the consequences of his actions. He should be brought before the courts.
@LeeAndersonMP_
You are a MP. People expect standards in public life and foul language is not one of them. Since my childhood my carpenter dad taught me and my siblings to be polite and watch our words. If you can’t keep your language out of the sewer -stop giving interviews.
@JamieBrysonCPNI
How in the name of God can anyone oppose children being afforded an opportunity to learn in an educational environment they & their parents desire ? Attendance is not compulsory…language is a form of expression not repression
My column in today’s Irish News. Stormont was built in 1932 - it was a monument to unionist supremacy. It was built in the middle of the Great Depression when Catholic unemployment was 40% - general unemployment 28% & unionists paid outdoor relief half the rate of UK!
"It's hard to comprehend that in the middle of a cost of living crisis, unionist agreement is centred on having a monument erected to mark the creation of Northern Ireland."
@BestForBritain
What a ridiculously low remark from someone holding the office of Prime Minister. Also if any administration needs a proper criminal police investigation it‘s the recent residents at Numbers 10 and 11 Downing.
@bbclaurak
Why was she allowed to rant with no serious questions? She didn’t like Labour under Corbyn & dislikes Labour under Starmer. Makes you wonder why she stood for Labour …
@columeastwood
was right to walk to the courthouse with Bloody Sunday families. Hume faced water cannon & police batons doing his job! Sometimes one wonders are the police tone deaf! Hopefully common sense will prevail.
@ChiefConPSNI
@irish_news
Former Solicitor General- Sir Robert Buckland seems exasperated listening to that well known constitutional expert from Bangor …Every-time JB speaks in Westminster he appears to loosen the knot between GB and NI. It’s known as the Frank Spencer touch!
@danwootton
Perhaps because she didn’t & followed procedures as ACOBA found. Did you ask if Johnson got approval from
ACOBA? Or any of the Tory exiting ministers?
@RueDaungier
Countries who join NATA opt to do so. They are not forced. The fear of Russia as operated under Putin has made neighbouring countries more fearful for their own security.
@BenWBriscoe
@JohnRyleyNews
The whole point of democracy is the freedom to choose. Less of the bizarre spectacle of full time politicians interviewing full time publicly funded politicians & more transparency about GBNews funding may allay some fears about advertising with the station
Tom Kelly: The case for Britain & Ireland working together was made in 1974, formalised In 1985 and a framework was established in 1998. So a form of joint authority between London and Dublin is next step for the North via
@irish_news
A very proud St Colman’s College pupil Ethan Kelly telling the legendary Pat Jennings - he’s a goalkeeper for Newry AFC under 15s whilst 12!! He was even more chuffed when Pat told him that’s a year younger than when he started!
@SpursOfficial
@StColmansC
@NewryCityAFC
My column in today’s
@irish_news
these loyalist protestations against Casement Park or the Irish language are borne from a losers psyche whereby all moves towards a fairer, more equal society are viewed as diminishing unionism. Untrue & misleading.
@toryboypierce
@mailplus
Talk about scraping the barrel. This is sewer swimming. Putting an individual’s life at risk? Seriously? Time the Mail went the way of the News of the World! The Tories need look no further than this to see why they are in free fall!
