@UK_Daniel_Card I like being able to report attempted access as a means to combat the "no news is good news" side of cyber security. Sadly this is not as straightforward as some like to make it out to be. It also requires work hours and knowledge/access.

If the network is properly configured and mapped the port would be isolated and a technician dispatched to remove the offending devices notating the breach of policy and notifying the offenders upline. Nothing came of it usually.
