Finished my 25th first week of school. I have 170 days left to help my 26 kids (they will always be my kids) become better, kinder human beings and not one of them will leave my classroom not knowing how to read. I love my job! 2024-25 is going to be the best year yet!

The boys won their game 4-2. The one thing that never gets easy after divorce, is having to drive all the way back home alone. Thankful for the beautiful sunset. 💜☀️💜

My beautiful baby girl is a Senior this year and has decided to pursue a degree in teaching. Her grandparents taught for 43 years, I’m beginning my 25th year, we couldn’t be prouder!!!! Changing classrooms full of children one year at a time. 🩷

Just want to brag on my kids’ teachers. My Senior was having challenges with her schedule, so one of her teachers emailed me to see if it was okay if she took Jaime out for coffee to get her schedule worked out.

I have a boy in my class who has alopecia. My 18yo old son has faced the many challenges of this disease since he was 3. He’s going to come to my school a few times a month to have lunch with my student. My own kids continue to amaze me with their initiative to help others. 💜

I was at school until 10:50PM five nights. I have 3 new teachers on my team who are brand spanking new to teaching. My 50 minute plan time is not even close to enough time to help, not only them get prepared, but myself also. Today I decided to practice self care. 🩷
