Minorities remain underrepresented in our electoral system. Through ages, only PPP took some measures to counter ghettoization but much more needs to be done. My article on underrepresentation, historical context & our demand for increased participation:

Chairman @BBhuttoZardari highlighted in his manifesto that 300 billion can be saved from going into wasteful federal expenditure if Federal Govt takes the required measures of abolishing 17 redundant ministries. Almost 7% of the GDP is annually subjected to tax-evasion from sectors mainly under federal control. We suffer due to non-performing FBR that leads to heavy reliance on indirect taxation. Federal Govt should take its shortcomings into account & shun this dictatorial approach of running the economy.

Sindh has been forced to pass the AIT law as the Federal Govt had unilaterally committed to IMF on behalf of the provinces & Sindh could not take the blame of making the country default. Sindh had been strongly resisting the exorbitant tax on agriculture because we believe there was a need to improve tax collection instead of imposing more. Sindh Govt still believes that this move will be counterproductive & we will revise the law if it does not work out.

MQM Pakistan’s recent tirade over criticism of MQM London’s politics of hate & division raises questions as to whether this party has actually broken away from the infamous politics of the past or not. Sindh Government is focused on delivering to the masses & Karachi’s water issue is among top priorities of Chairman @BbhuttoZardari & Sindh Govt; the completion of K-IV & new Hub Canal project would prove as significant in addressing the city’s water issue.

Wrong stance is being attributed to PPP’s Sindh Govt regarding canals as Sindh has NOT agreed on any such project. Sindh Govt has been demanding CCI meet to discuss the issues of national importance & there has not been a single CCI meeting since 11 months.

Sindh planting more mangroves! Over two billion mangroves have already been planted in coastal areas of Sindh and this mangrove plantation has earned Sindh $50m in carbon credits.

Sindh is meted out discriminatory treatment from federal authorities & it is quite evident from the issues of electricity, gas, NHA, canals. Sindh has been raising its reservations & Chairman @BBhuttoZardari today urged the business community also to join forces with us in getting our due share & demands fulfilled from the Federal Govt. We supported PMLN complete numbers to form Govt for continuation of democratic process but PPP is not to compromise on the issues concerning Sindh & our people.

He extended all out support to the community & invited them to work together under PPP mode to benefit the people of Sindh & the country's economy. Pakistan has its terms decided with the Chinese Govt & Sindh Govt follows all the security SOPs. No complaints by Chinese nationals were received by the police; now that a complaint has surfaced before SHC, Sindh Govt is taking due measures & a special team has been formed. Our relationship with China is of utmost importance; we take the issue of the security of Chinese nationals very seriously & act accordingly.

Business community of Sindh is too vast to be represented by a single man. The fact remains that CM Sindh @MuradAliShahPPP is among the most competent CMs Pakistan has had. The remarkable pro-people initiatives carried out by Chairman @BBhuttoZardari’s team are second to none & have in fact placed the province ahead of rest. Sindh outshining in public-private partnership or leading the world’s largest peoples housing programme are some of our mega achievements yet to be replicated by any other Govt.
