Amazing respect shown today by an
@EastEnglandAmb
crew on blues whilst passing my mother in laws funeral en route to the service. Passed silently before continuing to play their “tunes”.
Sometimes it’s the little things which make you tearful
I’ve just heard I’ve been successful in my application to become a TRIM practitioner with
@EastEnglandAmb
. One of the first cfr’s to be offered a place on the course. Back to school time again 😊
First job out on the cfr car tonight and the best result ever..great teamwork with crews and not only a rosc but the patient was talking before leaving scene
The best thing on Twitter tonight is
@NorthantsChief
and his I’ve met the met sticker. If you don’t follow Nick you really need to have a look at his twitter feed
@SCAS999
@ThamesVP
@TVP_Maidenhead
Sorry, he over took an ambulance on blue lights and then proceeded to block it’s progress and gets 8 months suspended… what was the judge thinking
Boots cleaned✅
New EEAST epaulettes fitted ✅
Thank you
@EEAST_CFRS
🙂

Badge tilt angle checked ✅
Must be a Thursday, time to change from engineer to
#cfr
and head out on a car shift
In support of all of my friends and followers struggling to hold the thin blue line at the moment.
I was brought up to believe colour doesn’t matter so any of my followers who don’t support our Police Service best unfollow me now !
#team999
So although it’s broke, having sent Mrs L in with a great ambo crew at 4am, she’s back home 12 hours later having had bloods, ct, mri and us to rule out what could of been life changing for all of the family, I have to say
@EastEnglandAmb
and
@EDBroomfield
rock 😊
@kcmohopper
@jab_doc
Something we always do, no matter what the outcome, everything and I mean everything is cleared up. If the patient remains on scene then they are left comfortable, if we transport, the home is left clean and tidy including putting any furniture back
Just responded to a call which upgraded en route to a cardiac arrest.
Thankfully not as given
Backed up by an
@GoodSamApp
responder who happened to be my bestie
The system works
None of us who volunteer as cfr’s do it for the praise but it was lovely to receive an
@EastEnglandAmb
greatix from
@HeyTomAbell
today following an off duty trauma job recently
19 years ago I walked out of training school as a CFR for Essex Ambulance. A lot has changed since then, including the service becoming
@EastEnglandAmb
Over 2000 calls between
@CFR_Danbury
and the mid essex car to date and around 23000 hours volunteered
@sbattrawden
For what it’s worth, as a frontline volunteer (cfr) I’m standing with you. It’s been a horrendous 12 months, I’ve watched people die in front of me not from but because of covid. We are NHS family and we are strong together
Feeling both proud and privileged to have been selected to become one of the first CFR mentors within
@EastEnglandAmb
.
I’ve been supporting new CFR’s with shifts on the mid Essex car for a while but now will be better prepared and recognised in the role
@RKent1992
It’s odd, I know so many paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency care assistants, emergency care support workers and community first responders but I don’t know anyone who’s an ambulance driver.
Came home from my CFR car shift to find this waiting for me. Thank you
@EastEnglandAmb
@HeyTomAbell
@EEAST_CFRS
.
Today of all dates it’s that extra bit more special as a reminder of how much of a difference cfr’s can make
@kevinguilfoile
I didn’t realise the latest Men In Black movie was being shot in cornwall… realistic looking alien in the middle of the front row, great casting
If everyone who has been grateful for the NHS shared this message and posted why with the hashtag
#MerryXmasNHS
, it would be trending in minutes, and let the staff know exactly what they mean to us
5 years ago
@CFR_Danbury
taught CPR to a group in a nearby village
1 week later a mum in that group used those skills on her 3yo daughter
I responded as duty cfr along with teams from
@EastEnglandAmb
and
@EHAAT_
News she was being discharged on Xmas Eve was a miracle
#learncpr
So I’m runner up. I still can’t believe my colleagues and friends nominated me. Humbled to be included with so many amazing staff and volunteers from
@EastEnglandAmb

#StarsOfEEAST2021
Last night one of our responders was first on scene at a chest pains call for
@EMAS_CFR
that rapidly became an arrest.
1 shock and 2 rounds of CPR later;
#ROSC
and the PT is on their way to A&E in the hands of our
@EMASNHSTrust
colleagues.
#lifesaver
! This is why we're here!
#medtwitter
can someone ping me the link for alcohol swabs as an anti emetic please. Suggested it today on scene to a lovely crew as the patient wouldn’t tolerate a sharp. They had never heard of it
@sbattrawden
Triple vax’d, flu too (in case it’s lurking) ppe’d when responding and still wearing a mask in shops. Staying off the graph even in the green category is 100% a life goal right now
Popping into my local sainsburys. Middle aged female wearing an ffp3 mask takes it down to have a decent cough and then puts it back on 🙈🙈 they really do walk amongst us
Just a little reminder to those on
#atacc
this weekend probably feeling a bit battered by now. Great teamwork makes for a great course. If I can do it, you can !!
#traumanoir
If you’re a CFR and aren’t aware of your trusts specialist resources such as HART and Critical Care. Do your patients a favour and do some CPD.
Then train, train and train, that little tip you get in training might be the one thing that makes a different today
We’re delighted to have introduced Penthrox into our suite of pain-relieving drugs.
In a UK ambulance service first, our volunteers are also being trained to administer the drug, which is used to help patients with a traumatic injury, like a fracture 👉
Shattered after last nights cfr car shift. A complete mix of jobs from ?sepsis to cardiac arrest with a trauma in between.
Great teamwork on scene with our amazing
@EastEnglandAmb
crews and managers.
So
@joshparamedic
beat me to it.
I’ve just signed off of my cfr shift on my 17th anniversary of joining what was Essex Ambulance now
@EastEnglandAmb
So much seen and learnt in that time. Massive thank you to the crews who have taught me so much
First attempt at being able to sim a placed igel in a bls Annie. A “can we” from my cfr team. Two hours with
#minime
and the 3D printer and it’s sorted
Our nominees for the Keith Marshall award are as follows:
⭐ Stuart Little
⭐ Clive Parham

So much for the UK alert.
Two phones sitting beside each other, one did, one didn’t.
Apple Watch did. 4G connected iPAD didn’t
Guess I just need to make sure I have the right phone with me in the event of a global zombie attack
#teamworkmakesthedreamwork
I’d heard this arrest had been successful but to receive a letter makes it official. Thanks to
@Smarterm3tering
for the car on this one, it’s first arrest and a great rosc.
On the ground in West Virginia with a brew in my hand. The site is covered in fog and so peaceful this morning.
Let’s see what the next two weeks bring
Last cfr shift before Christmas complete, kit handed over, showered, beer poured.
Have a great few days twitter, if you’re working, thank you and stay safe. If you’re not, chill and enjoy,
Merry Christmas 🎅🎅
Now I know there are rumours about me on here but when you book on and speak to your dispatcher and he says “I hope you’re not magnetic tonight Stu” (and I call for hot 1 backup on the first call)…. 💩🧲
Spot of Rescue cover on my favourite high ropes course for a couple of hours. Fresh air and some
#mefirst
time. I’ve missed this place over the last few months
Final shift on the first ever mid essex cfr car finished.
So proud to of been a huge part of the project. Tomorrow morning I’m returning the car to
@Smarterm3tering
and will get to thank
@_Tom_A_Ward
on behalf of all the patients we’ve helped.
@HeyTomAbell
@EastEnglandAmb
@DrLindaDykes
Problem currently is too many inappropriate calls, 2 day hx of D&V doesn’t need an ambulance. Child with ?strep and two cars on the driveway and both parents at home doesn’t need an ambulance but they prevent getting to those that do
Not the busiest shift on the car last night. We still managed first on scene to two calls, upgrading one of those due to the patients condition, even got to
@CFR_Danbury
training night to catch up with the rest of the team.
