@David_Kitchen_ for me, it’s the only story that has been ‘transformed’ by a special edition. Others have had tweaks, sometimes for better or worse, but this… well it’s gone from being a top 50 story to top 20. Overall season 25 box set was exceptional, this my highlight.

@David_Kitchen_ … I also liked the additional scenes as it allowed me to believe in the various character relationships. Especially Ace & Susan Q who in broadcast version appear to have a sudden unexplained friendship. Also loved the cgi syrup added to the escaping kandyman…

@PositivityWho Vervoids is a good yarn. Works well without the courtroom inserts. Mindwarp is decent too although a bit weird in that it didn’t all actually happen. I love the Ultimate Foe. It’s so surreal! Oh and special nod to the fabulous space station/tardis sfx - still amazing!

And occasionally showing him fluff a line. I think it’s just his association with Moore’s bond as to why they use his ‘vague’ impression. Maybe they thought a very lifelike impression would be tasteless?

@RealCOZZASAIDSO @David_Kitchen_ Hi. Every story has a special edition, with mostly well designed and in some cases really quite impressive new sfx, plus added scenes and improved sound. Silver nemesis actually has two special editions, one being a cut down omnibus. So much love and work has gone into it.

@David_Kitchen_ I probably should have liked Babylon 5. But when it came out I couldn’t get beyond how awful the effects were (early days of cgi space fx even worse than they are now). Which given I love classic Who, with its production flaws is hard to explain!
