It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs Murphy (Sixth Form Admin) has passed away after a short serious illness.
She was an amazing and wonderful person and much loved by our staff and sixth formers over the past 21 years.
Rest in Peace our wonderful Eileen.

After an enjoyable day of rehearsals the choir have not only practised their individual pieces but also finished learning the ensemble piece, ‘What I call home’. After all that hard work students have had their dinner and then an opportunity to relax backstage.

Today our amazing Year 13 had their Leavers Mass followed by speeches, an emotional performance from the Year 13 band and then year book signing. A lovely occasion that marks a new chapter in the journey of our oldest year group.

A warm welcome to all students but especially to our lovely new year 7s who officially joined us today! The schedule for the day involved learning about meta skills, a tour of the school and an inspirational assembly with Mr Johnson on what it means to be a St Angela’s student!
Today our Choir has been invited to take part in the BBC Sing East! concert at the Hackney Empire - a wonderful opportunity and testament to the the talent of our students. The day begins with a sound check on the Main Stage as students (and staff!) take in the amazing venue!
Congratulations to the St Angela's dancers who performed Insight and Realms at the Step Around Town Newham facilitated by Jack Petchey and Royal Academy of Dance. Hosted by St Angela's, schools were represented and supported by guests from Jack Petchey, RAD, family and friends.
We have had the pleasure of Sister Mana visiting over the past week. Sister Mana is an Ursuline Sister from Ethiopia who was a headteacher there but is now studying in Rome. She has observed lessons and yesterday met with members of the School Council.
St Angela’s rowers took part in a Water Festival at the QEOP and explored 5 Life Skills: teamwork, leadership, staying positive, aiming high and problem solving. They undertook various challenges on the water and land and were rewarded with a Gold Medal. Congratulations 🎉

Netball news- Year 9s played a strong opposition today against Eastlea and were victorious with a 8-6 win! The girls played to each other strengths with great teamwork. Year 11s lost 14-4 to Eastlea; who played a fast paced game. Thank you to the Year 10s that stepped up!l today!

The final rowing session at the Docks was indoor as it was too windy to row on the water! Students experienced the indoor tank which simulates being on the river and a gym strengthening session. They have loved the weekly sessions and have developed their rowing skills no end!
