Warm-up properly.
95% of Rocket League players completely avoid warming up.
5 mins of Freeplay air dribbles don't count.
Warm up recoveries, dribbling, and fast aerials for 10 mins before ranked and you will play 2x faster.
Hit Workshop Maps after ranked.
Workshop maps are training packs on steroids.
Prioritize these 5 maps:
• Dribble 2 Overhaul
• The Path
• Speed Jump Rings 3
• Lethamyr's Ice Rings
• Hornet's Nest
One map a day will give you more progress than 60mins of packs.
How to rank up faster in 2 hours than 95% of people do in 2 weeks:
1. Warm-up properly
2. Prime yourself
3. Queue for 60 - 90 minutes.
4. Hit workshop maps.
5. Reflect
Prime yourself for ranked.
Queue at a time when you're peak focus (after physical activity is ideal).
30 minutes of exercise before gaming primes your brain to play.
It's not a coincidence RLCS teams are picking up personal trainers for their players.
Seriously, try it.
Limit ranked sessions to 60-90mins MAX.
Why?
1) It takes 20-30 minutes to get into flow state
2) It takes around 60-90mins before your focus declines
Take a break too early, you won’t get into flow.
But if you don't take a break, you'll go on autopilot.

2. Take Blame For Everything
The easiest way to tank your MMR is to chirp your teammates.
Make it a habit to say "my bad" every time you get scored on.
This will help you learn more from what you did wrong.
Plus you'll save your teammate's ego and they'll play better.
4. Stop Tilt-Queueing
If you get tilted, stop playing immediately.
When you tilt, not only do you play worse.
But you develop bad habits.
Instead:
• Take a break
• Stand up
• Relax
Then come back.
Reflect.
While you queue workshop maps, think back to what you can improve.
Do you need to:
• Change the length of time?
• Play ranked at a different part of the day?
• Warm up different mechanics?
• Train new stuff?
Optimize for the next session.
6. Stay Grounded
Here's a secret:
You're not ranking up because you lack mechanics.
You're not ranking up because you use your mechanics poorly.
Stay grounded and save your mechanics for only when you need them.
A patient mechanical player is unstoppable.
5. Don't Play When You're Tired
50% of Rocket League is quick thinking.
When you're tired, you won't think very quick.
Save yourself the MMR and queue when you're focused.
7. Warm-Up
95% of Rocket League players completely avoid warming up.
5 mins of Freeplay air dribbles don't count.
Warm up these for just 5 mins:
• Recoveries
• Dribbling
• Fast aerials
• Shooting
You will play 2x faster.

"Nah Luke my diamond lobbies do not look like this. If you were to put me in your videos you wouldn't win"
1. STOP Trying To ADAPT
This will probably upset some people...
But I think 'adapting' is a scam.
When you try to 'adapt' you change your game (usually for the worse).
For fast progress, use the mechanics you're strongest with.
8. Commit LESS
Low-ranked players concede WAY too many goals on breakaways.
Instead:
#1
- Wait in your corner
#2
- Let your opponents overcommit
#3
- Low 50/50
You will get 1-2 free goals/game below GC.
Yes, you read that right. Right now, my team needs TWO new members to help work on the sales force inside my coaching program, the Grand Champ Roadmap.
Both positions are all about PEOPLE SKILLS so service/sales experience is heavily preferred...

9. Stop Solo-Queueing
Half of the goals at the low ranks are caused by double commits.
So findd a teammate.
And stop double-committing.
You will instantly gain 50-100mmr.
I will personally be reading the applications, first-come, first serve starting this Tuesday, July 12th.
I welcome you to apply for both, one, or neither of the roles.
That’s it!
I hope to talk to you soon...
Rooting for you,
Luke
P.S. The sooner you apply, the more likely you are to win either spot. I will be reviewing applications first-come, first-serve, starting this Tuesday, July 12th
CALLING GC/SSL PLAYERS
How many total hours + hours past 2 weeks MINIMUM to get SSL??
What's the smallest total hours that will get you there?
My guess:
#1
- 3k hours TOTAL +
#2
- 40hrs/past 2 weeks
I imagine any less you'll lack mechs or consistency.
Thoughts?
Update:
We are working on rebuilding the roles system and reconstructing channels in the Discord server!
The voice channels will be accessible throughout but chat channels will remain under maintenance until Mid-Late next week.
Thank you for your understanding and
7 mechanics that will get you ahead of 95% of people at your rank:
1. Bounce dribbling
2. Fast Aerials
3. Speedflips
4. Shadow Defense
5. Powerslide
6. Air Roll
7. Shooting
Nobody asked but I just dropped out of college...
On a real note, I could not be more excited to go all in on Youtube. I think there is still TONS of room for growth here and I know I can't stop now.
Wish me luck, gonna need it now🙏

Happy Birthday to one of the nicest and most talented guys I know
@KingRannyRL
.🎊 You'll probably be asleep for another 3 hours but I hope today is a great one 😉
7 things I did to 2x my speed in 2 weeks.
1. Train your "weak-side"
2. Master 'first-touches'
3. Prime yourself for ranked.
4. Warm-up properly.
5. Play 1v1
6. Powerslide more
7. Learn empty jumps.
Surreal experience meeting players from my coaching program IRL. Mark my words we’re gonna get the Grand Champ Roadmap to 2,000 members before 2023. Love you guys.
Hey just want to say the amount of love I've received in the last two hours is absolutely unreal. Thank you to everyone for reaching out and offering their support it's been overwhelming in the best way I can't even get back to everyone. Appreciate each and every one of you <3
Since you guys loved it, the Freeplay Podcast Is Coming BACK! 😮
Who should I bring on next!? Tag your favorite creator or pro! 🤔
P.S. Thanks again to
@RL_Comm
and
@WaytonPilkin
for coming on Week 1. It was a blast!
Here's the link if you missed it
I am speechless... 😔
Every one of my cards got rejected (so it was a site issue and I just got booted)

1. Train your "weak-side"
If you're not a PRO, you probably are comfortable with only:
• One air roll
• One wall
• One speed flip
Want to play faster?
Train the weak one.
This opens up shortcuts in games you would have never seen before.
@Thanovic
Follow your passion.
But if i were you, I'd start a new channel for a pivot...
It sucks to start from zero, but better to separate.
You won't disappoint old viewers, and you can still direct traffic from old to new if desired.
This way your new followers all subscribed for
150,000 Subscribers??? I know everyone always says this, but I literally couldn't do it without you guys. I'm speechless... (For perspective, 150k is enough to fill this arena... twice.)
We're Hiring!!!
