One common thing I hear about CH spin is to make it look like your fastball, however making it look your fastball normally requires back spin which causes CHs to “float”. You can see here how Strasburg creates side spin on his CH to kill vertical lift and create depth.

Seam Shifted Wake using Rapsodo is a challenging process. However, once you understand the seam orientation that works for that athlete and use previous trackman data/video to create a range of seam orientations, it helps the process get easier.

Increased use of the cutter that was added this off season ➡️40% whiff percentage last star. The cutter helps to set up the slider to lefties and Sinkers in the top part of the zone!

Similar to softball pitching development from the winter, this summer I have gravitated towards more blended bullpens than traditional bullpens. This means the athletes do anywhere from 1-5 movement throws followed by the same number of normal pitches.

Getting hitters to get on plane with multiple pitches that have velo is starting to be a trend in my opinion. Lance nailed it as usual
Brandon Pfaadt, Bryce Miller, and Gavin Stone ALL added sinkers last season.
