EGGFLATION IS BACK -- The average price of a dozen grade-A eggs hit $4.95 nationally last month, Wednesday's inflation data from the Labor Department showed. -- That was above the previous record of $4.82, hit in January 2023, and was nearly twice as high as what a dozen eggs fetched a year earlier. Unfortunately, with entire flocks continuing to be culled on bird flu concerns, shoppers are unlikely to see any relief soon
