In Casinopolis (Knuckles), Sonic Adventure 1/DX, there are two monitors at the top of the stage. I was able to find the real life locations they depict.
They're the Fremont and Sassy Sally's casinos in LA, both are now closed!

In easy words, they're a receipt for ownership of digital art.
You don't really own the art you buy, you only own the receipt.
The issue with it is that these transactions require a lot of electricity and are very wasteful and bad for the environment.

So, one would assume the textures for WV in M&S 2012 were the same from SA1, right?
But wrong, they actually borrowed from the original assets, which means SEGA still has them.
A SA1 remaster is totally possible, most likely, they just thought the XBLA release was enough

1. game ownership is bye bye
2. game availability directly tied to online servers, liable to downtimes or permanent closure
3. the technology is nowhere near as good as it needs to be, input lag is still tangible

In short there's a list of transactions online, each one paired with a link to the art bought and the name of who made such transaction.
You get to brag about "owning" said art, but it's not hosted on the transaction website, and it's still digital so anyone can download it

Notice how the skybox and geometry blend SO much better?

Overlapped them in photoshop, the model and materials are identical, they only added rim lighting (the white outline), bounce lighting (the green grass reflecting on the sole) and moved the eyes, all of that is done in post, they did not re-render it lol

Not sure it is tbh, it's very dense yeah but it's two tress assets copy-pasted, Superstars is much more graceful with its art direction and execution, even just with its color palettes. I think the bg composition is similar to what Chaotix did, with the DOF too

Idk what people are talking about, I played up to the so retro zone in superstars (zone 9 I think), the game is amazing, extremely solid. Some of the backdrops suffer from being a bit empty + lowres switch textures, but the game is extremely fun and most of the music is amazing

Can we all agree that we don't need to know when a game takes place, nor do we need to overexplain every little detail? When the lore team was extablished I thought they were going to make sure that the characters were on character, not retcon literally everything

Steam vs Dreamcast, the ports are extremely broken, missing a lot of graphical effects like transparency on most objects, lighting engines in the case of sadx, controls in sa2 are outright broken, it's easy to notice on rails.
There's plenty of informative videos on the matter

Spotify is free or subscription based, Netflix is a sub as most of other streaming services.

Sonic Frontiers is worse than I expected and I didn't have my expectations high at all.
They used mesh collisions for the geometry.
This ain't it chief, ST is creatively bankrupt and also pretty inept. There's clearly something wrong with the direction and production of the games
