I do not think Trump is above the law. I am no fan of Trump. I've never voted for him.
I do think the myriad of legal cases against him are uniquely timed to a purpose. I do think lawfare is wrong, regardless of which side is executing it.

Hawaii has passed a number of laws limiting AirBnB/VRBO to certain areas because it not only drives up rent but also real estate prices.
AirBnB/VRBO has become a business with people buying up properties solely as income properties.

Donald Trump has been involved in politics since 1987. He asked to be Bush senior's VP. He considered a run for President first in 1999. He has been a regular in political circles all his life.

COVID deaths might be under counted (I doubt that is still the case) however a number of studies indicate that the infection rate is also grossly under counted. MIT study showed the infection rate to be 14 times higher than reported. Statistics give us a general idea.

The subpoena had the full force of Congress behind it. There were a number of options including a few that would allow expression of dissent. Simply ignoring the subpoena wasn't one of them.
