Ehhhhh, I’d argue the second reason is mainly due to HOW they use The Volume. Mando Season One, The Batman, and even Fablemans all use The Volume, but you wouldn’t notice it then because they don’t use it as a cost-cutter, but rather as a set extension.

This. I said it before, but Secret Wars is right after Doomsday, so it'd only make sense if Stark as Doom is a variant. Again, I (personally) think the whole casting thing is to get people to shut the fuck up about who's ACTUALLY gonna be Doom.
I have mixed feelings about RDJ as Doctor Doom because narratively it makes sense for the Multiverse Saga to have him return as a villain, and is very surreal, but I'm concerned about Doom not being Romani. It can only work if he's a Stark variant, not Victor
