"Man, if only there was a movie studio that actually loved designing their steelbooks!"
Lionsgate starting in 2020 when they replaced the J-card in favor of custom slipcovers:
"But Ahsoka is a TV show, different medium!"
So is Andor! Just because you're making a TV show doesn't mean you shouldn't give a shit about making it look beautiful.
Cinematography matters for ALL mediums, regardless of whether it's for streaming, cable, or even the big screen!
One week away from graduation, and I kind of feel like upgrading my room's LG OLED to one of these Hisense fuckers soon. (maybe upgrade my 4K player to a Panasonic UB820 too if my XBOX Series X stutters one more fucking time during The Guns of Navarone)
I’m feeling bored, so here’s the 1.43 trailer for Joker: Folie a Deux, shown before Furiosa at Citywalk. :P
(Shot on .5x zoom, the screen’s much bigger in person, stands at 7 stories.)
@baileylikemovie
The 4K Blu-ray that Criterion put out for this is nothing less than outstanding. Legit made an already gorgeous looking film even better (especially with Dolby Vision enabled).
I watched "Deadpool & Wolverine.”
It goes far beyond the "fourth wall" between real and fictional, between the creators and the fans, but also past the walls of not only the title and studio, but all hero movies and parodies outside of the MCU. As a “Hero-verse” in the age of the

Ehhhhh, I’d argue the second reason is mainly due to HOW they use The Volume. Mando Season One, The Batman, and even Fablemans all use The Volume, but you wouldn’t notice it then because they don’t use it as a cost-cutter, but rather as a set extension.
This is even funnier because in the next scene, he's being literally being sucked on the whole head by her, and then when she stops and transforms back, he just asks "Do I have to pay extra for that?"
@SP4CECOP
Him slowly upgrading from his TV efforts of shaky-cam in M:I3 to strapping the camera onto a dolly and doing the Dance Floor technique (aka multiple shots in a single take) has to be one of the best things that ever happened to his film career ngl.
J.K. Simmons says he thought Damien Chazelle would be black before meeting him for ‘WHIPLASH’ due to how well he understood jazz.
“I’m looking right past or through Damien, who finally stands up & waves at me. I’m like, Who’s this little curly-haired kid from New Jersey?”
The 4 ‘BEATLES’ biopics will reportedly star:
• Harris Dickinson as John Lennon
• Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney
• Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr
• Charlie Rowe as George Harrison

Practical/Digital necromancy aside, the rest of the movie was just… holy fucking shit. So glad I saw this three times in IMAX. (I haven’t logged them yet since I’ve been busy with college preparation lmfao)
@thehdroom
And it only took six years since Black Panther, plus a home video partnership with Sony, for Disney to realize that Dolby Vision can also exist outside of streaming!
(Seriously, their only film with Dolby Vision that wasn't by Cameron was Black Panther.)
‘TWISTERS’ is already getting strong positive reviews:
4/5 - Empire Magazine
4/5 - The Independent
8/10 - Collider
5/5 - The Telegraph
4/5 - Total Film
Described as “the best cinematic experience since ‘Top Gun Maverick’ - The Telegraph”
Basically two hours of Todd Phillips singing to the executives who forced him to make a sequel, as well as everyone who liked the first film for the wrong reasons, that they should fuck off and die.
Sorry moots, I really enjoyed this one a lot. 9/10.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are in talks to star in Kristoffer Borgli’s ‘THE DRAMA’ for A24.
The film follows a romance that takes an unexpected turn before a couple’s big day.

Glen Powell says “movies are my love language”
“I always asked my parents to stay in the movie theater all day during the summer. I love summers because I love summer blockbusters... I feel like I’m getting a chance to do the thing I’ve always wanted to do”

@Srirachachau
Ngl I don't think Lionsgate cares either. It's not like they produced it anyway (noone else would buy the US rights so they did it themselves) so they're not really expected to lose anything from this, though I'd argue that they still should've marketed it right (if at all).

“Waaaaaah women actually have an interest in film that hurts my feelings :(“ I guarantee you he still lives in his grandparents’ basement as a grown ass adult.

, is about to watch Dragonball Evolution tomorrow.
Pray for him tonight, whoever is able to get this post on their feed.
My dream was always to show
@Horizonsaga
Chapter 2 at the Venice Film Festival. The fact that now they have decided to show Chapter 1 earlier in the day and then the World Premiere of Chapter 2 that evening shows not only their belief in how the two films work together but their
This. I said it before, but Secret Wars is right after Doomsday, so it'd only make sense if Stark as Doom is a variant. Again, I (personally) think the whole casting thing is to get people to shut the fuck up about who's ACTUALLY gonna be Doom.
I have mixed feelings about RDJ as Doctor Doom because narratively it makes sense for the Multiverse Saga to have him return as a villain, and is very surreal, but I'm concerned about Doom not being Romani. It can only work if he's a Stark variant, not Victor
fuck it….
calling out a actual shithead who has been harming us for a year now.
loudyking is a legit fucking emotionally manipulative sociopath that you should avoid who for the past year has caused so much damage to me and the group film lovers.
I was just told, excuse me, that my HORRIBLE, WHORE WIFE has tricked me into raising two bastards for thirty years, and I'm bein' asked to not make a scene!
This is Malaysia Tom to Ground Control, I’m stepping through the door
And I’m floating in the most peculiar waaaay
For these last six months felt different, todaaaaay
If you haven’t seen Ride or Die yet, but have already seen the other three before, do it now. Every scene is like this and it’s by far my favorite since the second. So happy I got to see this in IMAX.
I need a 4K of this IMMEDIATELY now that Galaxy Quest is getting the treatment, bonus points if it gets a Steelbook release too. Fan-goddamn-TASTIC Spielberg piece right here.

No offense to The Continental which I also loved, but Stahelski being heavily involved with this show almost easily blows the prequel series out of the water.
A ‘John Wick’ sequel series ‘THE HIGH TABLE’ is in the works.
• Chad Stahelski will direct the pilot
• Set right after the events of ‘John Wick 4’
• Keanu Reeves will not star but is a hands-on producer
• Will include characters from the ‘John Wick’ films

'INSIDE OUT 2' crossed 1.66B at the worldwide Box Office.
The film has now officially surpassed ‘THE LION KING' and has become the 9th highest grossing movie of all time.
Got the 4K steelbook the other day from Amazon. Like with Twister’s, the only word I can think of with the Atmos track for this one is just… woah.
That’s it, that’s all I’m able to say after listening to both of these Atmos mixes.
Alex Garland’s ‘CIVIL WAR’, starring Kirsten Dunst and Wagner Moura, is now available on 4K UHD and Blu-ray from A24 and Lionsgate
Also included on the Blu-ray is the six-part documentary, ‘Torn Asunder: Waging Alex Garland's Civil War’
