15 years to bring NI salaries to to ROI levels? Those living in the North would suffer immense pressure in that environment. I’m sure everyone in the North will jump at that, quickly becoming the poor sector, huge struggle to afford a home in the area you live. Sounds great.

What’s wrong with saying no phones, if caught with one it is confiscated to the end of the day. If a pupil is repeatedly caught then it’s the old school way of dealing with it, detention etc etc.

1) The 1998 Belfast Good Friday Agreement insists there should be cross-community support in matters such as this, not majority support. Unionists agreed to this, even though they held the majority. That cannot be binned the second Nationalists take the majority.

Even as a ‘remainer’, I recognise that ‘No Deal’ cannot come off the table as it is the only leverage the UK has in the negotiations. Taking it off now only strengthens the EU position, which could leave us trying to work this out for a long long time.
