But staff in Aberystwyth Post Office didn't understand "shwmae, llyfr stamps, plîs" and found it an affront when I repeated in English then suggested she could learn some v basic Welsh, literally, about 10 words, as if learning Welsh (uniquely) was an impossibility.

The song is "Erika", if anyone needs to look it up.
The song & words themselves are harmless enough - a love song for Erika comparing her to a flower - but adopted as marching song of Nazi soldiers and Nazi regime. Really awful. Anyone who knows anything about WW2 knows this.

Interesting to see how similar Welsh and Breton are. Mor Hanternoz (North Sea, exactly as Môr Hanner Nos, "Midnight Sea", though it's Môr Tawch in Welsh - Mist/Haze Sea). Mor Kreizdouar = Môr Craidd Daear, though, we say Môr y Canoldir, which is same. Craidd in Welsh = core.
